I have seen 1 Euro for 1 US$. Now it is 1.06 US$ for 1 Euro... But there is something else going on in the US. Everything is 3 times as expensive and people need 3 times more money to even get by. There is something very weird going on with the dollar. My guess... is it has to do that the US$ is being bought by foreign countries or it such a safe-haven that it doesn't relate to its realistic value.... This can't go on forever... I feel the dollar needs to crash a bit... Just a thought...

I bought from JM Bullion on the dip before the election. Even with the drop since the election, the price of Gold Buffalos, which I bought is only $15 lower than what I paid. I thought this weird, but looked, the premium has increased by $25 on all their gold coins. This usually happens when demand has increased. During COVID it was a premium of over $200 when demand was through the roof. Lately before the election it ran from $96 to $114 over spot. Today it's at $136. All this to say make sure you check the prices of premiums in addition to evaluating the spot price. Buy when demand is low (lower premiums) and price is low is what I now look for.

Value will move from gold to other assets. That's how it's worked for hundreds of years. It should open a market for lower priced gold.

Great video Mate. Speaking of going away and figuring things out yourself, I did that by analysing the Bitcoin/Gold ratio and I found that in 2009-2011 (late stages of last PM bull market) there were 2/5 instances where Bitcoin, Silver and Gold all went up together all while the Bitcoin/Gold ratio was also going up. I was therefore wondering whether the assumption that we are in a new PM bull market means that Gold and Silver will not decline very soon like you think and will continue going up along with Bitcoin? Essentially the value of the Bitcoin/Gold ratio in predicting moves down in PM's is less reliable in a PM bull market. .... I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Francine Duguay's, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

Tariffs do not increase inflation they increase prices. That is an important distinction. Inflation is an increase in the money supply which devalues fiat causing ALL prices to increase. Tariffs increase specific product prices leaving the value of fiat unchanged. Inflation brings the price of gold up, tariffs do not.

I have a cheap LG cell phone that does what I need done via phone. While I can't always avoid tariffs or taxes I do my best to do so.

I do own a fair amount of Cameco, a uranium miner, that's doing well. Of course, I'm not real interested in holding physical uranium. Honestly, I think the stock market is a bit too much like gambling, but, diversification, I guess. I have other assets, so the gold miner didn't hurt and I do hope they end up doing well. I think that prices are set by the market without regard to the costs of production. If that is true, tariffs will be eaten by producers and cannot generally be "passed along to consumers in the form of higher prices", as I often hear it put. Tariffs may very well make some imported products unprofitable, which may be the point, but I don't think they can or will affect market price of those goods very much.

I don’t think trump is going to be very good for gold investing but, given the current debt, I don’t think the price is going down. I don’t think so. Have you forgotten his last term? He placed the tariffs in to effect, and inflation was under 2%. Tariffs will not affect inflation, so we’ll have to see who ends up being right.

it will , just a matter of when. The risk reward is a no brainier. I am buying BTC , and the more it gains the more insurance I will buy, which is metal. S&P is also some insurance, just not against counter parties. Gold insured BTC is the way to go ... I loaded up my gold insurance when it was between 1600s and 1900 spot . Also need to buy against your employment. if you are an Uber driver you need to buy Tesla. Just like an airliners need to hedge jet fuel. You need digital assets. You need analog assets. You also need something with out counter party risk.

The Trump win in the election will not stop inflation. Real inflation is at least double the PCI statistics and with the national debt at an all time high and going higher, this will not change. The Fed will be printing more dollars based on “lower” interest rates. Precious metals will at minimum keep pace with inflation. Trading fiat currency for precious metals will help maintain wealth.

Gold mining stocks are like betting on biotech stocks. Yeah on occasion they’ll go up but good luck with that. Gold has reached all time highs and the mining stock you are promoting hasn’t done so hot. I’ll pass. Rather own gold.

That makes sense. As a trader, though - if it drops to 2400, how will you know it is just a dip and not a reversal (if it goes through the floor)? You'll be then buying into a downtrend....
