All this must be such a relief for Notariani and the amusement arcade and all the businesses and residents in that area. How many potential customers must the sight of that building in its dilapidated state have deterred from giving custom or inviting relatives? The path of investors can be so hard and if they are sole investors the risks are immense. In a resort town like this there needs to be fast tracking for planning and first class planning decisions with full transparency. The demolition must have cost hundreds of thousands ... I can only imagine the tension and concern of all interested parties. Thank you VFC for sharing this part of Blackpool evolution with us.

Thanks Jane, yet again, for another great vlog. TBH, I think a 'vacant' bit of land is more aesthetically pleasing than a collapsing, run down, vandalised and boarded up property.

There is a building in Sheffield town centre, haymaket called the Wiley and Co which has a tudor black and white front that the council has just left to rot and that too is on the verge of collapsing. It's happening everywhere. It's such a shame. Thanks for the up date on it.

The Clowncil have a lot to answer too, they really haven't been dping whats in the best of Blackpool. They spent £47.5m on buying houndshill center before spending anything on renovations yet cant or wont deal with the derelicted buildings, some of which they own. Also, on a side note, they spent £1.2m on the renovation of the Art B&B on the prom near Metropole and last I heard it was for sale for just over £700k. I used to live on the south sure so often walked past the hartes building so feel for the guy whom owns it.

Not to be cynical, but a joist inside collapsed.....without any...assistance? Obviously a possibility, but just wondering what the general opinion of that is as it does happen
