2010 I sold a property and the bank manager (Bankia, Spain) advised me allocate a portion to buy bonds at 10% per year. I was guaranteed my full 50k back and was assured that I could sell any time allowing 1 months notice. 2+ years later I asked to sell the bonds and they said I couldn't, they instead converted the investment into bank shares with a value of 12k. I sat on them and watched the share price every day. Eventually the shares went up and I managed to get out with 47.5k plus around 12k in interest from the initial bonds. I was fortunate. There were people that saw the shares go up and greed overwhelmed them thinking they would continue but they didn't. They collapsed again and people lost a lot of money.

The ONLY way we will be able to get a handle on this debt issue and the interest it is compounding daily is to GREATLY revalue gold. With that move, they would be able to deeply "manipulate" the balance sheet with a huge increase in the value of gold. I have taken across from UK to Spain, six times already G. And S. In two occasions they scanned it in the airport and asked questions. In one occasion they asked me for receipts. The first time they scanned it through the suitcase they said .... "I've seen something unusual there.... Like poker chips"" 😂😂.... What is it? The first time I did it in 2018 I could take up to 10 g. Coins!!! And still I would be under the 10.000 pounds threshold. .... But very soon I will be able to just transport a couple. Ohhhh .... Poor little me. 😢😂

Listen Eventually You are just going to have to cash out in the US dollar, which will obviously be worth less but if you are paying off some large outstanding debts ( mortgage, car loans, credit card debt) that is nominated in the USD it will be worth it.

@@redgatecrt I agree But you can cash it out for the currency that you invested in it in the first place It might be worth a whole lot less But if you plan on paying off outstanding debts that are being held in that same currency you will still be ahead of the game
