High quality video as always. You still encourage me to move to Windsor from Belgium as an Algerian through permanent residency. I am glad to become part of your beautiful community 😊

I live in the tough parts of the city and it's peaceful. If you're looking for problems around these parts, you'll find them, other than that, Windsor is a nice place to live. Though the only problem I see in the city lately are people from Toronto.

LaSalle is great. Very low crime, lots of amenities, especially for people with preteen children.

I actually like these videos but I’ve lived in Windsor for 35 years. It’s funny to me that he starts his video by naming good places that aren’t Windsor. Lasalle, Tecumseh etc are all towns outside Windsor. Basically it’s saying ya Toronto is great if u live in Mississauga. That’s a common problem in this area. People say Windsor is great u can go to Detroit. Your favourite thing about a place can’t be you can go or love somewhere else.

Do you like living in Windsor? What are some ups and downs? I'm coming to visit for the first time in October. Any places you'd suggest to visit or eat? Thanks

@@Godisfirst21 I'm personally planning to move, I've been here too long but ill keep it positive. Windsor is centrally located to a lot of places within a 5 hour drive (Chicago, Toronto, north michighan, Indiana, ohio, cedar point etc). It has good surrounding areas (lasalle, tecumseh, amherstburg) with nice parks and trails and a nice winery scene in the county. You get more bang for ur buck here real estate wise. Good pizza, little Italy on erie st, and some other nice spots scattered throughout. Good riverside walking area. Alot of people commute to the USA for work. Major sports teams in Detroit. Boating/fising scene. Cons: Windsor has a small population and the people here have a certain mentality so its hard for things to change or be trendy. The gathering they do have dont seem lively. People say windsor is on the rise and changing but it has yet to happen, the biggest change in 35 yrs is the explosion of international students and indian restaurants. I would stay away from downtown windsor its run down dirty and a lot of druggies walking around. Alot of Windsor proper isn't appealing to the eye but you can find spots. DT is also where the majority of the nightclubs are but nothing else. Most of the people in windsor find their fun going to Michigan. So it really depends what you want. If you want quick access to the states and a calm predictable area windsor/essex county may be it. But if you want a place that's lively, hip and full of opportunity windsor wont be it. I hope that helps.

@rjdman5588 Thank you for the taking the time to do that for me. I'm currently in Brantford and I've decided to first move and rent in Chatham and then explore Windsor. I understand why you want to move. It feels incredible just to THINK a new city will be better....even if we are aware of what all of Ontario has turned into. Also high population of Internatinal students and Indian restaurants here. Very difficult to find rentals. Move Darling. It's so wonderful to have that fresh start and new identity if you so choose.

@@Godisfirst21 thank you for the encouragement. I really do need a fresh start. I am familiar with those places as well. Windsor will definitely feel more like a city compared to Brantford and Chatham. I hope you like it. The people who like it here are happy. Good luck.

Depends exactly where, it's a big rental area on Meadowbrook and Sycamore and you have the Villages of Little River, in general it's safe.

@@tricolore31 It's not exactly a rule as in how low a property is listed vs expectations or fair market value but I understand what you mean. You have to keep in mind not every seller is willing to be realistic and usually an owner sees a higher value in his home then a potential buyer and takes a while for them to accept what the market sees as value for their home.

Anywhere in Windsor is generally safe. Only a few rough patches but still not the worst. As for Tecumseh mall area , east Windsor /Riverside is one of the better areas, quiet and clean. You'll be fine
