NO8DO is the motto and logo of the Seville City Council (Spain). It is made up of the word NO, something similar to a skein of woolen thread, and the syllable DO, and is traditionally interpreted as "no-skein-do", that is, an acronym with a hieroglyph to create "has not left me", in reference to the fidelity of the city to the medieval monarch Alfonso X the Wise in the war he waged against his son Sancho, although there are other theories about its possible origin. It is present in numerous buildings and is a municipal symbol.
