The Great Migration was a massive movement, with 6.5 million African Americans relocating from the rural South to northern cities between 1916 and 1970. Driven by economic struggles, the impacts of the world wars, and racial segregation, this period marked a significant shift for Black American journey toward better opportunities and living conditions.

Can you please do research on the history of Black americans and jazz in Kansas City Missouri? The Jazz Museum is in Kansas City Missouri and so is the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.... I truly enjoy your content.

Does anyone think these gems will help the generations aged sixty and below? I can't see it happening. Look at how people dressed in those days. No matter what the amount of finance they had. Very nice in suits, shoes and haircut. Where did the suits, hats, shirts, and shoes come from? In these times, people had pride. Then Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood, government benefits, etc. came in. Fatherless homes, etc. Most people, especially children, can't even read or write their names. Those days we will never see again

Our migration was during the trail of tears, matching from the south to Oklahoma to Indian Territory... bcs we are the true indigenous people of this land. @WhatzGoinOnBooBieBrutus
@WhatzGoinOnBooBieBrutus 2 күн бұрын
@juratory8876 well ma'am we can not appropriate what is actually ours! There is a big difference when it comes to "Native American" and American Indians they are not Synonymous 2 separate people Natives are imposters that helped to destroy our people heritage, culture, and replace us $5indians. It's not up for debate there is no argument to be made on this topic way too much evidence archived. Remember our people didn't become African american until 1988. Native=associated with the place or circumstances of a person's birth. "he's a native New Yorker" the reason they are being deported do to the 14th amendment. We are Autochthonous to America. Autochthonous=(of an inhabitant of a place) indigenous rather than descended from migrants or colonists. If you're willing understand why I said what I said I'm willing to provide you with the information i know, if not keep your comments to yourself it's based on denial and or a lack of knowledge and that's not a good look in these days and times

moving from south to north on your own land is not a migration...its moving. you cannot be a "migrant" nor "immigrant" on your own land. we have always been here on our own land. millions of us did not come here from somewhere else...we have always been here. yes it is ignorant to assign inferior words to something that never happened to the original indigenous ancient people...and then calling us [BLACK] when we have a bloodline, birthright and inheritance on our land. YOUR NARRATIVE WAS FED TO YOU BY FOREIGNERS.

Everything you're posting I already know about. Some of it I was alive when it was happening. I don't need an education in black history. I can pick a book and read it for myself. You are physically free but you're enslaved spiritually intellectually and economically. These historical short stories do not impart one iota enlightenment to my outlook on life. This is the same story over and over since Abraham Lincoln. Mankind's history didn't begin in 1600 when African Americans were brought to the "New world". Don't bore me with all this misery and self-pity

If you think "foundational black american" means your ancestors did not come from Africa, then whoever taught you that, told a terrible lie about yourself!
