Im a Publix ASM with 18 years with the company and I just loved watching your video. You can tell you have that Mr. George spirit! You seem like such a wonderful associate. If you were at my store I would put you in charge of the "welcome to Publix" for new associates. I think You would be a great trainer. I hope you plan on moving up because we can NEVER have enough managers of your caliber! Keep up the good work!!

So after one year if you’re eligible for rehire, you can apply. If you already have I would just stop by the store to see if you can get an interview. Usually Tuesdays and Thursday are less busier for CSMs.

You will get back what you put into it. You work hard and show your manager that you like it and request more hours will be huge bonus points for you and your evaluation. After 1000hr, you can be a full timer complete with all the benefits.

I promise you you don’t need to be extremely intelligent to do this job and please don’t deprecate yourself like that I’m sure you’re very intelligent OK just do the best job that you can work hard but not too hard because you Will stress yourself out Also if you feel like that what your managers asking you to do is out of your capability level tell them that this is not a pro inappropriate job for you to be doing and if they try to force the issue tell them again you’re not comfortable with it and leave it at that and if they try to do it again get your assistant manager involved or just tell them you quit

I used to work at Publix, my store was sink or swim, and if you swam, you better be a favorite otherwise you were given the shittiest tasks, overlooked, or if you had concerns it was under the rugs worst 3 years of my life, never again, I rather pluck my eyes out.

@@Kashea_Allen I got out when I could, I admit I go back a few times and each and everytime it’s new faces, they never keep the deli team the same, that’s where I was, and the deli was a mine field. It got so bad that one team, (not mine but a sister store) from the bad deli treatment they actually all walked out and didn’t show up the next day. My former team actually prepared a journal with all our complaints and concerns only to be dismissed. It took such a bad toll on my health at one point I actually tried forcing myself to vomit to get out early when I could no longer call out. I remember actually having multiple anxiety attack and break downs on how my team was always short handed and never given the help and leniency we deserved. Managers through the deli came and went, I went through 6 managers in three years, and finally I was able to get out. But when I look back, I came out tougher, but the mental toll was not worth it.

Yeah I’m not here to rag on the company at all I have nothing but high praise to say about the department managers that are in my department but I will say the store manager is a complete jerk at my store she is not a very nice person she comes off as very cold and shrewd she makes the whole environment very stressful and yeah my store is kind of the same way they let me do one CBT on my start date and they stuck me out on the floor with absolutely zero idea what I was doing but over the last like seven months I’ve really think I’ve started to do the job and do it effectively

If you worked enough hours and had your anniversary before 12/31, just be patient. I started with Publix in September of 2022, and was curious about that, too. I called and found out the stock distribution for each calendar year is on March 1st. All work hours accumulated after one year of service until the end of 2023 will go toward the stock you will automatically ❤receive on March 1st. Hang in there!

Hey! So, after 90 days of employment you’re eligible for vision and dental insurance. You will automatically receive the information once you’re eligible. Your store will give you the packet! Stock comes after one year of employment. You’ll be notified when you’re eligible for that as well. Once you receive packets for these items get with your customer service manager or store manager for help on getting enrolled! 💚 let me know if I can’t help with anything else!

Not every store is the same nor are the managers and coworkers. My wife still loves working in the Deli after 17yrs and her manager loves her as she gets dollar increases per hour on her evaluation. You get what you put into it. You can't be lazy or management will not give you hours.

There are a lot of problems there about to say kaboom 🤯 💥 I work there from 2017 to 2024 they promote grocers that do not know how to use a palet jack and I never give me a chance they keep jumping full of you know what and they expect you to work really or do a good job or over do went you never get a freaking full time then they ask you to train the new full timers DF.

My dear friend, you are grossly over exaggerating "constantly sued". There is one alleged lawsuit from just 3 employees in Tennessee. It is far from the worse company to work for. It's not a sweat shop paying kids $3/day to assemble Nike shoes like in Vietnam. If it's so horrible, why do they have a back log of people submitting their resumes? You are just disgruntled with a chip on your shoulder. All of the stores around here in Florida pay all employees that work OT hours. That's a company policy. You don't have to shop there.
