Thank you guys, also, for highlighting Sean McDermott's growth. Though he is one of the most visibly nervous coaches I've seen in crunch time, it takes time for a good coach to become a great coach. Andy Reid, the best coach in the league by some distance, was a playoff choker for over a decade. McDermott's experience and tough personality are invaluable. Also, Giardi might be the only non-bills media guy that understands that Josh WON the 13 seconds game. He put us up 36-33 and never touched the ball again, and for some reason dopes like Nick Wright try to hold that against Josh. Hurts so much how nfl history was decided by a coin toss :(

I don't know -- we need to be careful what we wish for. The Dolphins are NOT a "bad" team. They are in our division, and they know us. They almost beat us in Buffalo back in November -- it all came down to a miracle 61 yd FG from Bass -- in whom I don't have the greatest confidence, and furthermore, I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO "COUNT ON" making such a kick AGAIN ... and in January weather. Then there is the "law of averages" -- exceedingly difficult to beat the same team 3x in the same season. Also, I am concerned that if we play the Dolphins, we might make the huge mistake of relaxing too much and being overconfident (and then losing because of that). Finally, even if we played Miami and won, I am leery about Jordan Poyer ... he seems to have a "chip on his shoulder" about Buffalo, and he might take another cheap shot at Keon Coleman or somebody else ... we can't afford more injuries in the playoffs, especially with a physical Baltimore on the horizon for the next round and KC getting healthy. I don't want to play Cincinnati either -- although I don't think the Bills would get pushed around this time. But with those receivers and Joe Burrow, they ALWAYS have a chance to win ANY game. Denver is dangerous with Nix and Sean Payton, and they wouldn't be bothered by snow ... but Nix is a rookie and could be taken advantage of, plus we owe Denver a payback from last season. So of the three possibiities, I'd rather face Denver I suppose.

Cincinnati, by far, is the superior team! Burrow has completely dismantled the Bills’ defense, and we haven’t managed to defeat them yet. Miami, on the other hand, is the complete opposite. If you want to face Tua or Burrow, it’s a no-brainer.

The MVP conversation is getting exhausting because it feels like there's no solid criteria, which reduces the whole thing to a popularity contest. Here's a proposal: Take the QB in question and replace him with Joe Flacco for the season. How different is the team's record? If it's only a couple of games, that player is not the MVP. (Note: I recognize this isn't fair to Saquon, unless you'd enjoy imagining Flacco as a RB.) Edit: To double down on this point, the Ravens have 9 players who've been named to the Pro Bowl. The Detroit Lions were next with 7, while the Philadelphia Eagles had 6. So, Josh Allen is doing what he's doing on a team where only two players have been named to the Pro Bowl, and he is one of those two.

14 wins in the regular season is a lucky omen for an afc east team that has ambitions to win a sb. Dolphins won 14 in the regular season before going undefeated. Patriots won 3 sbs with a 14 2 regular season record. 2003, 2004 and 2017 against the falcons.
