I think amongst real fans of both of these teams, this is not a rivalry born out of dislike between the teams, it's a rivalry born out of inevitable competition between two teams that see each other almost yearly in the playoffs and then also win their divisions which forces a yearly regular season matchup. As a KC fan, we really dislike Cincinnati for the terrible display of arrogance their team, fans, and city showed. The people of Baltimore are viewed in a similar regard, but we can respect a hardy, blue collar town on Lake Erie with fans that brave the elements just like our fans do in subzero temperatures yearly.

As a life-long Chiefs fan, AGREED! In fact, I was ALWAYS rooting for the Bills from the time Marv Levy got there. LOVED watching those teams. HATED the losses. But, loved what they did. 18:08 after the Broncos game, I commented that Dan should watch the All-22 footage before making some statements about the Bills. Dan was very upset with the D-line not getting pressure, but watching the footage shows that they did lots of pressure on them, it just didn’t seem like it. Easy to miss, lots of people said the same thing. I am so glad to see Dan and Mike watching the footage to give some more thorough analyses. It really shows off, I’ve noticed some really good break downs in the last few videos. Thanks for all of the hard work, I love the show!!

The way I describe KC this year is this: they are thee most well rounded team and most malleable team in the league. Other teams are excellent at 2 or 3 aspects of their team in how they are built. KC is built to be in the top 8 in everything, and built to have different player groupings and offensive and defensive down specific specialists. Combine that with arguably the best quarterback in the league, especially on 3rd down or high stress situations, and you get these close wins. Combine that with the best head coach and defensive coordinator in the league, arguably the top 3 best front office in the league, and the most consistent coaching staff with out significant turnover in the league. It's wild. Having said that, Buffalo is good enough to beat KC if KC doesn't play their best game. I also think Buffalo has the better offensive line. It's going to be a hell of a game! This game is the real Superbowl

Mahomes’ ability to extend plays has impacted the entire team culture. Everyone believes that we’re never out of it. The entire team believes that we can always find a way to win even when it looks bleak. It’s why the team has such a high win percentage when down by 10 pts. It’s off the charts.

What makes the chiefs special? It's the organizational culture. Don't know if anyone remembers Belcher committed suicide outside their practice facility in front of staff after murdering his girlfriend in front of his mother with their 3 month old baby in the other room. It was apparent the Chiefs and Hunt legacy were heading to a dark place. This tragic incident happened in Dec 2012. Something big happened behind the scenes a month later. A 3 hour interview with Clark Hunt and Andy Reid became a 9 hour one and he signed a contract signed hours after. I'm just speculating here but I bet a majority of that conversation was about refocussing the ethics, morals and culture of the organization. The quantifiable changes are more direct lines of communication from the front of the house team, the only team with an in-house media outreach and most importantly a massive shift toward hollistic fitness. Mind, body and what is most often overlooked, spirit. It's the most palpable shift in atmosphere I have ever seen in the chiefs, which goes to tell you how bad things slowly devolved to when the tragic incident back in 2012 wasn't more powerful, albeit in the opposite direction. There is true, gratitude, faith and forgiveness creating a culture of fellowship from CEO to custodian. For many it's grounded in God for others it's in just trying to be a good person. It was inspiring to have the opportunity to get a firsthand account of what's going behind the scenes. I'm not saying everything and everyone is perfect but there is synergy in Arrowhead going beyond the field. If strolling around KC and you spot any of the over a thousand Superbowl rings and Pendants given to not just players but employees, ask them if they are part of what makes the Chiefs and Arrowhead grea. They'll tell you they are just doing their part. Ask them if someone else in their organization will tell them they are great. They'll bashfully tell you yes. This is why I never I'm excited for this game. This journey as a Chiefs fan resonates with my admiration of Jim Kelly and handling adversity on and off the field. His career and story is where I came to respect him and the Bills. The fans base is why I still respect the Bills. Good luck!

My generation, we are all "TRAUMA BONDED" as fans from decades of heartbreaking loses ! Too young to really remember the great teams of the 1960's and early 1970's. We grew up with the 15 year playoff drought! The teams of the 80's and 90's and 00's, if they made it to the play-offs, usually got bounced in the first round (except for the one year we lost to the Bills in the AFC championship). We had a long stretch of time where we could have given the Browns a run for their money as the most futile team in the nfl.

The 83 draft with elway and marino we took todd blackledge. Then in 89 we got schottenheimer. An excellent couch who just couldnt buy a playoff win. I was at the game in jan 96 where the 13 and 3 chiefs lost to the 9 and 7 colts 10 to 7. Lin elliott missed 3fg's. It was a disaster

While everybody is talking about Mahomes and the refs, they don't do THAT much for them, they do capitalize on it, but like it or not, if you screw up they will take advantage. And while everyone is distracted by that narrative, the '22 rookie class is trashing your offense. Name a better corner than 3rd year McDuffie, I'll help you out, you can't. Surtain has better stats, but McDuffie has a better lockdown rate. George Karlaftis is here for whatever your O-line comes up with. McDuffie and Karlaftis were 1st round picks, Im not sure which one is the trade pick for Hill. Pacheco is solid, when healthy. A very young team with one of the best coaches in league history won a Super Bowl with a lot of flags. They cleaned up their game. The O line seriously needs attention though and the rookie drafted LT was a bust.

They don’t do THAT much, except extend drives and allow 2nd chances at a 1st down (which lead to points). If a defense stops Mahomes on 3rd and long, they get a DPI and Mahomes gets another chance to score. It’s not difficult to understand the cascading impact.

This happens every year, people talk crap all year, then the Chiefs see success in the playoffs, and suddenly "we never said the things we said, your crazy, why would you think we said those things, we totally said." People get frustrated and emotional, which influences their takes thru the year. I personally hate the dishonesty around the Chiefs. The NFL wants them to win/Chiefs get one of the hardest schedules, they suck this year/we never said that, its rigged/Im angry my team lost.

This seems a lot like the Manning/Brady rivalry. It took Manning several times before he could break through, but it seems now as it did then that it's just a matter of time. They've been too evenly matched for Buffalo not to get them in the postseason at some point. Maybe this year, maybe next.

Here is one thing I am feeling we are going to see on Sunday. Remember at the start of the season the NFL told the refs to make an example of tackles that line up off the line and how that was implemented was they called the Ravens tackle multiple times in a row and even more times throughout the game and although the Chief’s tackle was a worse offender and also started early he was only called once? One might conclude that they really weren't trying to emphasis that rule but instead just needed a way to give the Chiefs an advantage in that game. I expect that the Chief’s tackle will be way off the line and move early most of this game and never get called or maybe called once if enough people share this thought and the NFL sees it. The call that I do expect to see “because the NFL” wants teams to remember it is illegal is the Bills offensive lineman pulling the runner forward. This definitely is against the rules. The Bills lineman definitely have blatantly done it a couple times and not been called. This is an easy way for the NFL to hide referee preference for the Chiefs. No one could argue. I am hoping the Bills reiterate the rule and tell their line to be especially careful. The NFL is going to have the refs so keyed on this that even if the lineman is even and almost pushing they are going to call it. It will be important to not even do that. If they are even they need to push the line and not touch the runner.
