ll est trois heures et quart. That's the time. Merci beacoup Alexa ! I've just followed you and found your French youtube channel, because I need a lot of help improving French and learning one of the most toughest and hardest languages, that I've also wanted to learn for a very, very long time now. I've been studying French for... 3 to 4 years and I've fell in love with French. I enjoy learning and studying French, and learning French is so, so much fun. At college, I'm double-majoring and, I am an English major in Secondary Education and, I'm also a French major, at Queens college. Watching this time video in French helped me get that hands-on practice in French that I really, really needed. At first, I had the hardest time understanding time in French - especially in the 24 hour clock and 12 hour clock - but your French teaching, as been amazingly fun. Your humor, is beautiful and you're so, so patient with us.. when it comes to us viewers still learning French. Thanks to you, I'm still practicing time in French and I'm starting to get the hang of time in French. Hopefully, getting better, too. I'll be sure to watching all of your French videos as a French major, so that way hopefully, I'll get a pro as a French major and I'll be fluent when I study abroad in Paris, in no time.

"float your boat" is the expression for "whatever you like, your opinion, what you want/like" For example, if my friend tells me, "I like to eat ice cream with ketchup on it." I might say "Whatever floats your boat." "Rock the boat" means to disturb, disrupt, cause an issue. (for example, "My students are really quiet right now. Don't rock the boat!!!") "Rock the boat" is often used with "do not" as in, you are telling someone DON'T disturb, upset, disrupt, etc....

So I’m a Spanish native speaker who has to explain/teach the Norwegian way of reading the clock to Congolese man who’s a Swahili native speaker and we both speak French (my french is rusted, that’s why I’m here), in Swahili the time is expressed the total oposite than in all western countries so to speak, for example 21:00 hrs in Swahili is 03:00 hrs, Norwegians have a very unique way of tell the time 21:35 is something like: Fem over halv ti, literally translated is: Five minutes over half hour to ten! This is a complicated task! Explain the Norwegian way to a man who thinks in Swahili using a neutral language.
