Hey Aona, I am an UX designer who has a coming up UXR interview. Your videos helped me a lot and cleared my ideas. I had some hesitations but thanks to your great explanations and making things easier to understand I feel more confident. 🙏

Really great tips! I also really like the wall of art behind you! The it really gives the place a great personal-professional vibe that fits a mentoring video!

Hi Aona! I'm not a UXR, but I'm interviewing for a Producer role for a UXR team. Your list of questions do give me a fresh perspective on what are the more critical questions I should ask. So thank you!

I literarily think you are talking to me in this video. Lol. Great tips. Thank you Aona.

thanks Aona!! The second piece of advice that you mentioned vividly reminds me what my recent interview looked like. So, I had my final interview with one of my fav companies..and I was overly passionate and that makes the discussion really awkward for both of us. I also think I cringed too much... Yea, so don't be too over prepared and feel being incapable. You are a worthy person!!

Thanks for the videos! I am always impressed about how fluent your English is and very curious about how you get so good at the language. Would you sometime talk a little bit about your English learning journey and tips?

What would you ask a HR during the first round of telephone interview? apart from the company and their culture, is there anything else to question about?
@AonaTalks2 жыл бұрын
I typically like to ask details about how many rounds of interviews there are to expect, and how long the process would normally take, assuming I can proceed to the next round :)

Hi Aona, I absolutely love your content, and thanks for contributing to the community. I'm wondering if you would be able to share more about the UXR methodologies, thanks!

Hi Aona, this is the first time I’m watching your video . Very informative and helpful. Thanks for sharing . Please share what kind of questions do you ask the recruiter? I’m wondering if you could ask UX team related questions to the recruiter
@AonaTalks3 жыл бұрын
Welcome! Check out this video (the last chapter is about info to confirm with recruiter):kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6a7ZoqQi79pfZI Your recruiter is your interview partner so your questions to them should be all about the hiring and interview process, and company culture in general, not about the specific work (because most of the times recruiters won't know the detail of day to day life in a product team).

Hi Aona! These are so wonderful! Thank you. I was wondering if you can still ask questions like "What is your ideal collaboration model of Research x design" when you are interviewing for a company like Google where your interview panel will not be those that you work with and how a team functions varies across so many different teams at Google.
@AonaTalks3 жыл бұрын
That’s a great question!! Of course you can still ask about it - I would suggest you can frame it as you want to learn from other efficient collaboration models. It also doesn’t hurt to show your interviewer your vulnerabilities a little bit but sharing some difficulties/challenges you have experienced (and how you are combating the challenges now - introspection)!

Uh oh... only 2 questions? I had an interview a last week and I asked like 10 questions. They let me go past the time we were supposed to end and the conversation went for an additional 30-40 minute 😬😬😬
