Many patients with rheumatic diseases are diagnosed during childbearing years, and it’s well known that women with existing auto-immune and rheumatic conditions can face unique challenges during pregnancy. Additionally, some of the medications traditionally used to treat rheumatic disease are not advised during pregnancy.
Rheumatologist Dr Shikta Dey aims to answer some of the more common concerns around pregnancy and rheumatic disease:

- Does having a rheumatic disease impact fertility?
- What are the effects of pregnancy on rheumatic disease? And how will my condition impact the pregnancy?
