Thanks Delphine.. very informative. So , after submitting the application, will the Chevening Secretariat update us (via email) on wether we've met the eligibility criteria and our applications are shifted to the reading committee?? Just curious ..

Yes they would communicate with you early next year if you made it to the next phase of the application

@@delphinekonda thanks for the enlightenment.. and what does conditionally selected and reserve mean in terms of the selection process?

@HallandKuluwah Conditional means you have been selected but you have some conditions that you must fulfil for your selection to be confirmed. Reserved means you have been placed in the back and if a space opens up, you will be given that spot. In most cases, it hardly opens up. Most applicants stay in reserve spot and have to reapply the following year

Does chevening require 7.5 band in IELTS? Or it is just a requirement for the university course. I used to think it is a requirement for the university course only. Please clarify

It is the university’s requirement not Chevening and note that its not all universities

Chevening no longer requires english test but universities.with us (2023/24 chevening scholars they did not request us to write it but some universities)
