Can I just say this video couldn’t come at a better time?! I’ll currently studying to become an Art Therapist over the span of 3 years (I’m part time!) and I feel it’s so important to at least know where you’re heading so once you’ve graduated you already have a foundation set before you! Thank you for being one of the few who have stepped out and are helping other art therapists/trainees with this!! X

Hi, sorry to jump onto your boat! I was just hoping for some advice really. I'm in the process of applying to a university to study an MA in Art Psychotherapy. I'm already a a Qualified Counsellor. But am really struggling with the personal statement part of the application. I'm also dyslexic, so I'm always doubting myself when it comes to this kind of thing. What doe you think is important to cover in the statement? I've done quite a reflective piece. But should it be more academic? Any advice you're able to offer, I'd be so grateful. You can probably tell I've worked myself up a bit 🤦♀️
