All, if your experiencing the start up noise, the light comes on and goes off right away do the following. 1. Unplug the power brick to 30 seconds, both to the wall and xbox. 2. Reconnect power supply, and press the power button. 3. Tap eject button 1 time. It's another way to "hard start" the xbox. If nothing then, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, and then add the above 1 through 3 steps.

@@BrianBattles these bricks have all sorts of weird anomalies to them. Sometimes they get hot, or dirty, and sometimes a complete power down of the brick helps kick it back in cycle.

@@ogjiggajuiceyt319 Okay so. it’s one of 3 things it sounds like. you could have a fucked up hdmi port. when the xbox can’t sense that there’s a working display system, it won’t turn on. OR a part in your xbox is fucked up. but what it really sounds like is your power brick. you should try buying one and keeping the receipt. gamestop had them for like 40$. or borrow one from your friend and see if ur xbox turns on.

pro tip: it can also die instantly due to heat protection. I blew once inisde the holes of the power brick and then it worked again and displayed a message that the holes should not be covered and that it had been overheating

If your Xbox is not turning on but making a little tik sound unplug EVERYTHING including chargers EVERYTHING. wait a couple seconds and plug the power back in turn. Press the power and if that doesn’t work unplug and try again. It should take at least 5 trys

(My Xbox one checklist for trouble shooting): - Not turning on: Adjust power input going into Consle (pull up). -Trouble with hard drive: Adjust input going into Consle (left and right until HD is active). -No sound with headphones: Unplug wired controller, then plug back in. I know they are simple but this is what works for me.

If the power brick led is white and the fans are running but the power button is not working use your controller to turn it on that what worked for me mine was orange for a while and I couldn’t fix it leave it plugged in and listen for a while for the fans to turn on hope this helps some people 👍

mine just constantly turns itself off, I've changed sockets, hairdryer, cleaned, punched, the lot. It'll work for like 10 mins now and again, and then it'll switch off mid game. Sick of companies making console break over time so you buy a new one. Surely there's a fix.

ATTENTION FOUND A FIX!!! Basically the white light wasn’t showing up and I was freaking out but MAKE SURE NOTHING ELSE IS PLUGGED IN BESIDES THE HDMI AND THE POWER SUPPLY. my problem was I still had a charging controller plugged in and after taking it out the white light showed up and boom! It’s turned on good to go. I really hope this helps someone.

So we just purchased a used one for cheap. The power brick lit up orange, but the console didn't turn on. I did some trouble shooting and nothing. On my personal xbox I had to purchase a aftermarket power brick, my original burnt out, so I decided ehh what the heck I'd try it out, and voila! Little bugger turned on...... what the heck. I guess theres something wrong with the connection that goes to the back of the xbox on the oem power brick idk.
