What To Do In PUERTO VALLARTA MEXICO | Carnival Panorama Cruise Majahuitas Beach Excursion
Our first port stop on my 7-day Mexican Riviera cruise onboard Carnival Panorama was in beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We booked an excursion through Carnival called Exclusive Majahuitas Beach Cove Excursion where we took a boat to a remote part of Puerto Vallarta and spent the day lounging on the private beach, enjoying lunch and the included water activities. Back in town, we discovered a couple of local artists at a flea market near the cruise ship terminal before heading to dinner at a local restaurant called El Toro Marisquero that was walking distance from the cruise ship. Looking at this on the Carnival website, it says 5 hours. So did you really only have 3 hours at the beach? I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to do this or just go to Sunscapes since we are in port for so long that day and could spend a considerably longer amount of time at Sunscapes. Such a pretty place! Exactly the kind of excursions we love.

how are the free drinks on royal caribbean? should i splurge and do the refreshment package? which includes specialty coffees, non alcoholic drinks. sorry i know this is not related. look forward to your two cents. i am glad you and your mom could go om this excursion. it was ome of the excursions i was (or still am) considering. do you think the caribbean beaches are a lot nicer than the ones in the french riviera (cabo, puerto vallarta. mazatlan)? 🙏 p.s. anyone in the comments please, please feel free to chime in. love that sign no wifi but promise you will have a better connection. man, that food looked really good! open bar i am doing this one!

The free drinks on royal are ice tea, lemonade and regular coffee. If you want others you have to get the drinks package, there is alcohol packages and soft drink packages. I think there is also specialty coffee, but I have never bought any packages. You can bring a bottle of wine in your carryon and they will serve it for you at dinner in the dining room

Hi! The drinks package (in my opinion) is pretty pricey and it would depend on how much you drink each day on whether it's worth it or not. I find the free beverages to be more than enough for me. A tip if you get sick of plain water, you can always bring on crystal light packets or something similar to flavor the water. They also have iced tea and lemonade for free so you can get those or an Arnold Palmer (a mix between the two) without being charged. As far as the beaches, it really varies by each port. Some of the Caribbean beaches are stunning and some of them aren't nearly as nice . It also depends on the weather because during hurricane season there's chances you'll see a lot of debris in the water and it'll be a lot murkier. Hope this helps!

Do you need to change your currency to pay for the food if you have cash? How do you figure out how much it costs in US dollars?

A lot of places will accept USD but I usually try to have some cash in the local currency to be on the safe side. I just use google to search for the currency exchange to determine what the price is in USD :)
