I moved about 18 years ago and find the price difference(even from Seattle) incredibly prohibitive! I've wanted to move back to the Bay Area but it's just too expensive, did you have other cities you were considering? Thanks & congrats, it's a beautiful town!!

I’m glad you were able to enjoy Capitola. The colorful houses are actually The Venetian Hotel. Unfortunately Capitola was hit in a bad storm last month. The Capitola wharf and most of the restaurants and shops were badly damaged. There is a wharf in Santa Cruz with lots of restaurants and a place to see and hear sea lions barking. Other Santa Cruz highlights: Natural Bridges State Beach where you visit the tide pools and monarch butterfly grove; West Cliff Drive and the lighthouse; SC Harbor; Henry Cowell Redwoods and UC Santa Cruz!

Another spot we haven't been to before but looks like a ton of fun even in non-summer months! Totally think getting 3 for the beer pong style game shoulda given out a bigger prize 😂
