Yes! The South Shore runs from Chicago to the Dunes! There are multiple stops and Dune Park Station stops near the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center. mysouthshoreline.com

There's trails by the wetlands there's? We just made a video there not long ago and during our journey to the location we seen a lot of wetlands but didn't get close to him because we were only driving past them. Is it safe to walk by the wetlands?

There are several trails that go through wetlands! Cowles Bog Trail in the national park is a favorite of locals and birders as Sandhill Cranes can frequently be seen. The Great marsh Trail is another great trail. It's part of a wetland that used to stretch from Michigan City all the way to Illinois! If you're really interested in unique ecosystems of the dunes, sign up for one of the ranger-led hikes at Pinhook Bog in the spring or summer. We just ask that you always stay on the marked trails. As one of the most biodiverse national parks in the country, there are many fragile and endangered plants here. 😊
