I agree with you. I do a deep condition every week and maintain with serums. The olive oil in the same ic brand is good too.

@@samminu will keep that in mind! I did want to ask: how often do you use olaplex and does your stylist have an opinion on no lye vs lye? I noticed you use dark and lovely no-lye which is interesting because most salons use a different brand and lye relaxer
@samminu2 жыл бұрын
@@ambrosia1917 I use the Olaplex no. 3, the leave in, and the bonding oil every week during my wash day routine. My hair stylish friend use a lye relaxer, it's more professional, she told me it gives a S curl then straighten the hair after. I don't know where to begin with those. 😭.So she recommend the no lye dark n lovely relaxer because it is the best she said.

Hair is beautiful and on point 😍 have so many questions so you wash your hair every week and how many times you clip your ends ? And what heat protection you use for constant flat iron I’m asking cause we have the same type of hair some of my hair is longer than others and it be breaking off in different spots like little pieces sometimes
@samminu2 жыл бұрын
Thank you love ❤ 😍❤. Yeah I wash my hair every week, and I trim my ends every 2 months. But I will make any adjustments if I need to once a month. I use patene heat protectant. Once your use heat once a week you should be fine.

Make sure you take your time and detangle, that is a major factor in breakage. And never neglect your weekly deep conditioning and monthly protein treatment. Keep me posted on your process. ❤❤❤

Thanks for this excellent guidance. I’ve just discovered your videos from a search on dealing with frizzy hair. I must confess that I wasn’t sure on the first video I watched where I thought you were advising against moisturizers on relaxed hair! 🤔🤨 But as I watch further videos and view your technique, it’s now clear for me. Without a doubt - those liquid moisturizers are NOT intended for relaxed hair as it will clog the hair cuticles and make us look like ‘wet rats’! However, our hair does require nourishment 💡The composition of the glosses and some oils are perfect for nourishing the hair (beyond solely as a heat protectant). This will help me to fight the frizz. Thanks again and cheers on your beautiful & healthy hair! 👏🏽

@samminu2 жыл бұрын
Oooh no. It might be because you are stretching your relaxer. The natural hair is too thick and the relaxed strands can't hold on anymore. Sounds like you need to make sure you are deep conditioning every week and have your monthly protein treatments. Stress can also causes breakages of long strands. But I would advice to relaxer your now and do my protein treatment method. 💔💔💔💔

So I've had stylist tell me not to put oil in my hair while its dry because it locks in dryness so only put it when its moisturized, are these oils you use causing any dryness or itchy scalp ? Because I need an oil for my dry hair specifically for when its dry without running the risk of drying it out even more, please help :(
@samminu2 жыл бұрын
The glossing polishes I use is pretty light and perfect for my hair and I use it to maintain my hair for a week until my next wash day. The carrot seed oil is the best oil i tried so far on my scalp. It actually helps to elevate itchy scalp. It is perfect. I have experience dryness with coconut oil before. I don't really care for it.
@sheamoniquedaniel18242 жыл бұрын
it's still oil based. if you hair is dry you need to make sure you shampoo and deep condition in a regiment. make sure your water intake is up. it's going to take a while to see a change. your stylist is absolutely correct. ANY OILY TYPE PRODUCT is sealing in the drymess still causing long term affects of brittle hair.
