If people don't seek forgiveness appropriately then it wouldnt be granted anyway if it was forced or attempted to be forced, faith and belief in god isn't something that can be forced like that, making amends is a funny thing as well as repentence... Funny thing is I'm not a christian, but certainly there's wisdom there, even if not always universally applicable not just for someone to forgive but for others to seek forgiveness in certain contexts... And what of the holocaust and similar behaviours, is that fair? Sometimes yes but when all else is broken and wounds won't heal then It does ask certain questions outside of considerations of jesus' divinity or anointedness, like the limits or imposing will or religion in certain contexts but yes kudos, amen

Especially outside of the jewish holocaust and genocide story, lots of genocides have happened and arent anywhere near as publicly acknowledged nor appreciated even if not as well documented nor as high in body count, everybody is human and has equal value at the end of the day, when you reduce people to statistics the it's a pretty poor sign you're forgetting what it's all about other than sloganeering or ideological pandering, albeit with or without awareness, nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes
