The first one sounds very true. I worked at a electronics store and one time a dude stole a iMac by just walking out with it with some confidence.

Yup, I worked in a large bookstore, we had a PC set up to demonstrate CD-ROMS (that's how long ago my story is) and at some point the PC had simply vanished and none of my colleagues knew how. I went to management to tell them, we came back to show them, and the bloody thing was back. Turns out the guys next door (who had lent us the thing) had simply walked in, taken the PC on a busy Saturday for updates, and brought it back, all without anyone noticing or batting an eyelid. If you are confident and look respectable, you can get away with an insane amount of shenanigans.

my father worked as loss pervention at wallmart and there is soo sooo soo much more to it . he walked around and would watch people and follow the ones that didn't look quite right it could be any one . there were many times we had found him hiding in clothing racks to keep a eye on the person he was following . they also employed him to set up the cameras in that store even several accost the state . he got very good at being able to place the cameras in plain sight and they would not be seen even by the employees them selves . i even helped him to fix the broken cameras that were about to be thrown away . i even made a small screen he could use to look at wile setting the cameras up he used that thing up till he quit the company .

What's sad is if the guy weren't a complete creep and a moron he could've easily gotten away with that and more. I'd like to say that I'm shocked by the incompetence of the management he worked for, but my real life experience informs me that such staggering ineptitude from company higher-ups is far from uncommon.

This happened to me… I’m still going through it.. I can’t escape, and I don’t know what I did or why they’re doing it… I’ve had threats, but at the same time… they’ve been nice and supportive at times.. I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to hacking or programming…. It’s been 2 years, I’ve lost my mind. Been to facilities for it, and even jail because I thought they were coming to kill me… I’m pretty sure they’re just trying to mess with me… But I feel that everywhere I go, they’re there… Watching. My PS had random ppl login, my gmail is like 3 months late on delivery, FB is gone, all platforms are not mine anymore and the ones I can get into are…. Watched. I can tell when they’re on my phone.. I don’t know what to do, I’m nervous for my family, and form my future… Can someone help. Or give advice?

5:20 - the Marines *guarantee* your MOS? Uhhhhh. that wasn't my case. I signed up for 0300 to find out before leaving for Boot Camp, I was actually some commo MOS instead. Because the marines only sign open contracts. So i said "nope, count me out. Contract says if Im a no-show for my ship date? Its like i never joined and my contract is nullified". 2 years later went to an Army recruiter, your job is literally in your contract. Spent 4 years as an Infantryman there and loved every second of it. LOL but that sounds pretty spot on that the army recruiters diddnt look happy at the office because recruiting fucking sucks apparently. Dont let a recruiters attitude make you think thats the entire army. Its far from it

So question. The first place where he got the cash register he said he got in his car and drove off? Like the company wouldn’t want him to take it back once he could show he got out to his car so the company could continue to accept payments from customers? How do you know how to calculate who is coming into your store randomly and how much they would spend if they did? I’m sure there are averages but as with everything there are outliers too. There’s no point in driving off the parking lot with the cash register that hasn’t been made up to that point. It’s kinda like really stealing bc if there were customers in the store and came in later that couldn’t pay bc no cash register, then it isn’t stealing but it’s profit that can’t be made up for. Unless the company filed an LP insurance claim for that time period. 🤷‍♂️

Dan Tentler aka Vis in the 3rd story, mentions a guy who used a AMEX card and snooped on people. If the guy was arrested and eventually charged guilty by courts, can you provide info on that person like his name and/or mug shot? I ask because I'm curious if it is the samw guy or a guy connected to an issue I am currently facing. Has the same M.O. as I noticed on an old tweet a complaint about losing access to a AMEX card not to mention spyware methods were deployed ... sounds similar but not identical to this creeper guy, but I'd like the public info on that guy to know for sure. Thanks!

Most retail stores are not that secure people stole a lot of things Especially in big stores like Walmart which has a lot of employees and vendors The security grade usually does jack shit It's often the noisy employees who will catch the theft. People can just walk wearing the vendor's clothing and tell the people they are new but still have confidence and they will let you in and give them a cheap badge that rings so you don't forget it when you go. Headquarters is usually where it's more secure.

Dude, the third company.. I'm trying so hard to be empathetic but what the entire fuck were they thinking. Obviously this situation is the fault of the garbage human doing all of these things (who imo should be named and shamed), and it's reprehensible and seriously unsafe behavior. But wow, promoting someone who is abusing security tools to the head of security... Look atcha life, look atcha choices.
