Hot Springs, Arkansas is an amazing place to visit and to live. There are three major lakes, and Lake Ouachita is one of the cleanest in the nation. There is always something happening in Hot Springs that includes concerts, barbecues downtown, parades or concert at their very own theme park Magic Springs. It has some of the most amazing food in America, and if you are in to gambling it's there too. Oh, and there is a church on almost every corner. The Bible belt is like that. Just remember, " Hot Springs is really not a place; it's a state of mind."

I lived there for a bit in the mid-80s. Worked for quality used cars right across the street from a drive-through liquor store. Terry Crump had a body shop nearby. Also worked for The Captain's Walk.

My great grandfather was born here in 1835 when it was a still territory of the U.S.. My great grandmother was born in Malvern. My uncle was a caddy for Madden, and my dad was a caddy for Lucky.When the civil war broke out most people left only two hundred families started, if you were a confederate your house got burned by the union army when they came through.my great great great grandparents came from The thirteen colonies of Maryland, worked their way across the country as territory opened up.

I was going to open up a Air Conditioning Company. I would live some feed back on both places since you lived at both places.

I’m from Boston, what is a bathhouse? Is it just a public swimming pool? And are there any actual “hot springs” you can go to?
@jwchunn
@jwchunn 5 жыл бұрын
A bathhouse is basically a place to soak in water that is naturally heated by the Earth. It was once thought to hold medicinal qualities, but now is mostly just the same thing as sitting in a hot tub. Yes, there are actual hot springs.

Hot springs has a long dark history my family came in 1836 as government was opening up territory. My father caddy for Lucky and my uncle caddy madden. Dad ran moonshine with his friend and made five dollars a run which was good money in those days. Gambling, moonshine and illicit was the way people supported themselves in those days. I think the Hot water needs to be replaced by some other business because it was a money maker in its day but not so much anymore, the race track no longer attracts people like it use to .Walmart is the only thing that survived and kmart went broke a long time ago.
