Woo hoo, MiniVan chronicles 😁 Q) Do you recommend going hard/heavy at the gym while cutting? Keeps strength levels up but risk is higher for injury due to lack of nutrition Also, tearing the muscles (for growth) but without enough building blocks to grow
@MeleDrummer4 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't recommend going below 5 reps if you are cutting, probably stick most of the time to 8+ reps because like you said, the injury risk goes higher and you are not building any muscle in a deficit, so why risk it

Some sane advice, be patient. But I will say that i believe that there should be some sort of improvement from session to session, if not load, then endurance, such as at least one rep extra at the end of your sets, or an increase in amount of sets. I personally used to track volume load, and any improvement should show up there, however you improve, with the exception of RPE, but if you're creative and good at math, you can figure how to incorporate that too. I also take a lot from powerlifting, in that some exercises help improve others. You should be able to sequence exercises to improve to your main lifts.
