Exactly, once you meet a lady tor the first time and yhe fisrt thing you tell her is "i want to marry you" you have spoiled everything. If she has character flaws, she will oackage herself just to marry, then in marriage you begin to sing "i see your true colours shining through 😂😂😂" I told this to someone who came to me, the first day he met me, he said i want to marry you. He thought i was a Gen Z, even some Gen z sef dey get sense. I told him, even though i dont accept you, please dont try it with any ither lady, because she will begave herself well just to marry you. I suggested we become friends first, eveb recommended Myles Munroes book Waiting and Dating, but he refused. He took my picture went to my Pastor to show him, my Pastor approved not knowing that i haven't accepted his proposal. When i told my Pastor, he said if i don't have peace within, i shouldn't accept it. It turned out that the guy himself is a player and he finally ended up with one innocent lady. On the day of their wedding, i noticed that the lady wasn't smiling. I went there, gave her my gift and left.

Sir. Josh. I get your point, which is valid. Albeit, the first thing Abraham's servant did was to study and test Rebecca for her content a.k.a. character >>> before he then talked to her, and her family, about Marraige. He tested Rebecca by requesting for water >>> which Rebecca offered for himself and his cattle >>> a revelation of her character >>> and that, without Rebecca knowing she was being tested, and was about to be asked for in marriage >>> meaning: Rebecca was acting out her true self. This is why friendship first is crucial >>> it let's you know people in their true, normal, state of self. How so? Because, we humans have a natural quantum frequency that we operate on >>> meaning: we can't pretend for too long, without slipping up, and showing our true self.💡 So the Man of God was right to say: have friendship first, to know the other person, before you get serious. So, the Man of God, Pst. Femi Lazarus, gave sound, Bible-backed wisdom.

Sir, how should someone approach a lady after God told the man that the lady is his wife
@winepresshub3 ай бұрын
Go and establish a relationship first, after then talk to her about it
@Nomthandazo802 ай бұрын
Establish some kind of friendship first, to get to know each other. If God is the one that told the man that's his wife, it will surely come to pass. Don't rush the God told me that you are my wife thing, speaking from a woman's perspective most of us now feel like that's some kind of a Christian pickup line/a straight up lie, it has a very high probability to make a girl run away if it's spoken too soon. Others start with I just want us to get to know each other but I'm not your friend(so that they don't maybe get stuck in the friendzone) but this one I think it works when there is very much clear attraction to each other

According to this preacher, the servant of Isaac was wrong in talking to Rebecca. This is one of the storytellers who are creating confusion about the simple subject of marriage.

Bruhhh!!! When would y'all stop misinterpreting...?
@felixmagombo5203 ай бұрын
@@D_R_I_L_Lbut how is he misinterpreting? The preacher says you meet a girl, don’t mention your intentions of marrying her before building friendship. Building friendship can even take 1 year or two years. Do you think Isaac in the Bible and others had that time? What if while you are busy building friendship, the girl thinks you’re only there for friendship and falls for another friend who has put forward his intentions of marrying your friend?
@D_R_I_L_L3 ай бұрын
@felixmagombo, the preacher didn't call Issac wrong, he didn't even quote Scripture, this was advice that actually applies and works, "in this time". Saying 'he' said Isaac's approach is wrong, is not only misquoting but misinterpreting him. If it applies to you, good! If not, don't defame. I mean no disrespect!

Ah… the wisdom of those age and now is not thesame… imagine the way they dress then and now… it’s easier to be to start a conversation with marriage and you won’t get to know the person until after the marriage… or play the hard roll of keeping your mouth shut and know the person as a friend, if he/she fits or can cover up the open spaces in your personal life… majority choose the easy way… so divorce rate is high

Eliezer of Damascus first prayed and then asked for water (check her characters) before mentioning marriage.
