Fish and chips... plus a Polish beer... on the Sopot pier. Memories... are made of this.

I loved Blekitny Pudel, right across the street from the wiggly house in Sopot. Great food, and they make herbata z dżemem just the way I like it.

My sister-in-law is Polish so we went to their wedding in 2006. Stayed in Gdansk for 3 days, visiting the Tri-cities. The wedding itself was in Malbork Cathedral. Our visit to Poland was amazing. A beautiful place with such wonderful, friendly people who welcomed us New Zealanders with open arms.

Poland is the land of my ancestors. I love your travelogues especially when you focus on the history. The cathedral was amazing. I was seeing Lake Michigan in your views of the water. That is, until the camera turned around and looked at the architecture facing the shoreline.

This is a must stop at the Oliwa Cathedral if you are in Gdansk area. We visited it in 2018 and it left a lasting impression. The caustics are phenomenal but you also feel the music through the body, quite the experience.

The most beautiful city in Poland, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. There is everything here: monuments, great architecture, wind from the Baltic Sea and happy people of the sea. Gdansk is connected with other cities such as: Sopot and Gdynia, which is called the Trojmiasto. Beautiful beaches and tasty regional cuisine.

Great video, as always. I'd like to point out however, that the Oliwa pipe organ is far from the largest in Poland. The biggest (single instrument) is in the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Wrocław (~15000 pipes, 5 keyboards. Sadly, it's in appaling condition). Even larger one is in Licheń (multiple organs that can be controlled from a common 6 keyboards console).

You stated the Cathedral with the pipe organ was 7 miles outside of Gdańsk,is that closer to Sopot or Gdynia?
@markhurning80512 жыл бұрын
Much closer to Sopot than Gdynia. The cathedral is south of Sopot, and Gdynia north of Sopot. Thanks for watching!

We just went to Sopot in July. It wasn’t as crowded as I thought it would be. It was wonderful!! I was hoping to find a restaurant with really good fish but the one we went to (on the beach) was not too exciting. So any recommendations next time we’re in Sopot?
