What to do With All the Memories...

Joe Robinson recently moved his father into assisted living, and he was left a few artifacts that the elder Robinson believed had value. However, Joe discarded or gave them away after not seeing the value of the things left to him.
Interestingly enough, Joe Stamboni was approached by his elderly neighbor (who was also moving out) about taking some of his old items of importance, and like his namesake, he has no plans in keeping any of it.
What would you do with these old artifacts/memories? Would you keep them for the sentimental value, or will you be the first to sell/dispose of them?
