@@KRVKENx I actually only worked part-time up until 1 month ago when I transitioned to full-time. During that part-time period, I was working in education FT still, so I didn't do a whole ton of prospecting. I didn't close any loans while working part-time, but have closed a few in the last month since transitioning over (each lined up while I was still part-time), and have sent out 4 more pre-approvals. So, I'm building a bit of momentum now that it's all I focus on. It's definitely a challenging and fun position, and you need a great work ethic!

I'm a 20 year Realtor looking to become an MLO. My social media has been Realto/builder for so long I'm nervous but my reputation in middle TN is great. How hard is it going to be to make the transition? I'm still gonna sell homes but that's just from referrals. I also want to break into Florida market because I'll be moving there in 5 years.

@EnriqueGreatness Жыл бұрын
Purchase loans are loans to purchase property. For example, if I want to buy a house it will be a purchase loan. There are also refinance loans/refi business. If later I wanted to refi it will be a refi loan. Hope that helps.

How are you supposed to do webinars and video content about loans and mortgages in your first 30 days if you are still in the learning process? Seems more like you'd first need to acquire the knowledge and then create webinars.

Hey Peter can you share your experience as a loan officer?
@petepalmisano18645 ай бұрын
@@RicardoLerdo pretty horrific. I got licensed literally just prior to Covid. Then interest rates skyrocketed. Networking basically became only phone calls begging to suck of realtors because no one worked at an actual office anymore. No one in unrelated businesses cares to talk to you. You're basically not much different from a homeless person begging for food in the streets. You put out money to renew your license. Before I left my group wanted me to put out more money for social media advertising. I was coming up on having to pay to renew my license again after two years and not one deal. It's not like how it was for experienced loan officers who were at it a while. Today unless you're a one in a million lucky person who starts right out of high-school you will never make it. Only job that cost me money without one penny in revenue. Besides the fact that I learned never take a job where the economy and political party in charge can destroy any hopes of a paycheck. Find a different and better career path. No career for new loan officers anymore.
