WHAT TO EAT IN DA LAT |

Welcome back to my journey of traveling from north to south of Vietnam! I'm in Da Lat now and the food here is amazing! I'm gonna show you guys what to eat in Da Lat and where to have the best local Vietnamese food here. If you haven't watched my previous video about hunting clouds in Da Lat, check this out:

❤️ Where to go ❤️
👉Cloud hunting at Cau Dat Tea Hill at 5am (Free, the road is a bit rocky, you should dress warm since it’s early morning, the view is magnificent! Clouds appear depending on the day, that’s why it’s called cloud hunting :))
👉Datalan waterfall (170,000 VND/ adult, 100,000 VND/ kid 80cm-120cm. I love the roller coaster there because you can control your own breaks. It’s fun and you can see the nature. You can zip-line there but you have to buy the bundle ticket which is $350,000 VND and you have to pass 60 competitive activities, just like American Ninja Warrior. Great for teambuilding!)
👉Da Lat’s lost railroad (Free, there is not much to see but it’s a great place to take pictures, the tunnel is beautiful and mysterious, there is also a coffee shop up there so you can enjoy with the bird’s eye view)
👉Lam Vien Square (Free, you can hang out with the locals, friends and even with yourself there. View to Ho Xuan Huong lake. Huge artworks with blocks of sunflower shape and flower buds are designed by colored glasses, there is a coffee shop inside the flower bud)
👉Hiking and seeing sunset at Tuyen Lam Lake (Beautiful!!!)
👉Da Lat night market (They have very good Vietnamese pizza there, but I wouldn’t recommend you to try the strawberries with salt because they are so salty, the skewers were ok though, ask for the price first before you purchase anything)
❤️ Where to eat ❤️
👉Mi Quang (Quang noodles) 14A Yersin (Very delicious! Must try)
👉Banh uot long ga (Wet flat rice noodles) Hem 202 Phan Dinh Phung (If you can’t eat intestines, just tell them “không lòng”)
👉Banh Can (Can cakes) 27/44 Yersin, phường 10 or 13 Nhà Chung
👉Nem nuong (Grilled sausages) 328 Phan Đình Phùng
👉Oc buou nhoi thit (Snails stuffed with meat) 33 Hai Ba Trung
👉Tui Mo To coffee shop (Very nice view, the prices are great, a bit too crowded and the menu doesn’t have English)
👉Cheo veo coffee shop (very nice view)
👉Quan cua thoi thanh xuan coffee shop, 9 Trieu Viet Vuong (going down the hill and it should be on your right, love this coffee shop because it’s so quiet and I want to support workers with disabilities)
👉Kem bo Thanh Thao (Avocado ice-cream), 76 Nguyen Van Troi (So good!!!)
Overall, it was a great experience! The people were very friendly, the prices are affordable, the food was great! Da lat people love crackers and chillies. The weather can be hot at noon (not for too long though) and cold in early morning and at night, so prepare your warm clothes. I hope it helps! :))

"Starfruit" is known by the specific name "Carambola" in Florida and is usually eaten ripened. It is native to Asia but is readily available here and is a commonly grown fruit tree in southern Florida. The ripened fruit is sweet, tart, and has a unique smell and after taste.

I truly enjoy your attention to detail when it comes to explaining the different foods and culinary Delights. I live in the Southeastern part of the United States so okra is a common dish here as well. Most people enjoy this fried with cornmeal which is quite tasty, also enjoy it boiled slash thinly and mixed with dill sauce in a salad very tasty

I have star fruit here but it’s always yellow. I can’t wait to try it green. Everything looks amazing and delicious. The vegetable restaurant looks amazing. Vegetables are definitely my favorite things to eat. So glad to watch your videos and learn so much.

Very nice video! The waterfall looked great! I never tried the salty strawberries before. You missed my favorite local food in Da Lat... Bánh Căn! It’s the best food ever! Also the chuối nướng is so delicious!

I know (crying). I didn't have much time to explore all the delicious food in Da Lat, but I know Banh Can is a must try. Definitely going back there soon! They actually mixed salt and chillies with strawberries just like fruit cups you see back in the states. I think they put too much salt and my friends said the strawberries were salty as well.

Always liked how you can drive 5 mins out of da lat and find yourself in the pristine pine trees. it's pretty much like sf to Tahoe in 5 mins which actually takes 2-3hrs if ur lucky

I was in Đà Lạt just 2 weeks ago! It was a lovely place and such a nice break from the heat of Saigon in late March! The strawberries are famous but honestly they weren't that impressive to me, greenhouse grown. I loved the bánh căn, and had it at a couple different places. I wish it weren't such a specialized dish, I'd try to make it myself. :-) The night market was interesting; one lady there tried to sell me an unripe durian and got mad at me when I told her it wasn't ripe. (It was still hard inside...). She said "I'm not selling to you!" I said "you're right, you aren't." ;-). Did you try the place that sold all the different kinds of "milk?" Soya, mung bean, peanut, black sesame...that was quite a little scene.

The is between December and March you can see its famous flower gardens in full bloom. Temperatures at this of the year are for outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, and walking.
