Irish food is massively understated, especially amongst Irish people. I think it's the quality of the ingredients that elevates it. History robbed Ireland a cullerary tradition but the emerging food scene is really exciting.

You beautiful woman!! You mentioned Taytos the food of the Gods🤣 it’s doesn’t matter where you are in the world, if someone visits from home they’re ordered to bring Taytos. I love cheese and onion in a tayto sandwich with butter and loaf bread……I’m hungry now. Wonderful video as always, I feel part of your family from watching them 😘

Glad you mentioned the tea, and I believe the Irish are No. 1 in the world in tea consumption. I love real Irish breakfast tea. There is an import shop near me that sells Barry's Tea from Ireland--one of Ireland's most popular tea brands. Since it's imported, it's expensive (about $9). The only tea in the US that comes close the Barry's is Trader Joe's Irish Breakfast (cheap at $3.50). It almost tastes exactly like real Irish breakfast tea. 😋

I'm originally from Chicago and have lived here in Ireland for a couple years now. OMG, you are so right about Irish dairy! It's so, so, so much better than in the States. For example, their eggs are to die for! It blows me away how they taste so much better than back home. They are also yellower than American eggs, plus as you may know Irish eggs are not refrigerated. As you noted, hand-made ice cream is everywhere and is excellent. Another habit that I developed is that I will make an entire meal of White Pudding. There are many individual varieties, mostly developed from family recipes. I love O' Flynn's, which has just a great combination of spices. Local grocery stores are filled with pudding. It was the number one unique food that I found here.

We put our eggs in the fridge here in ireland...you dont find them in the supermarket in the fridge...but when we get them home we put them in the fridge. Also irish eggs are not as yellow as chinese or italian or wild eggs. Unless they are from a proper wild free range hen in ireland...most irish chickens lay the same as mass produced americen hens

@@traceymarshall5886we don’t need to put them in the fridge though as they haven’t been washed in Chlorine which weakens the shells. In the USA they clean the eggs with chlorine before packaging them so they have to be kept refrigerated as the shells are more porous and would allow bacteria in 🫣

John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

As an Irish person Guinness is far nicer in Ireland than anywhere else, it is 100% not a mental thing. I've tried it in several countries and it just doesn't compare. The stouts and ales brewed in Ireland were brewed here originally because the water here is the perfect type of water for them. Guinness brewed with non-Irish water just doesn't have the same characteristics and thats why it typically doesn't taste as good if brewed elsewhere. Also the malted barley for Guinness comes from a soil type that gives it the unique flavour in Ireland which just isn't replicated to the same degree when brewed overseas using their local malted barley.

As an irish person...i thought shepards pie was the british way of saying cottage pie? Im pretty sure beef is meant to be in the 2. Also the "pies" you show are not irish...they were "Cornish Pasties" from Cornwall England. Meat Pies are not an irish thing - they are english. But nice video. Also most of my family are vegan and i hope ye try Irish vegan food the next time ye are in Ireland.. .not all of us eat dairy/meat/fish/chicken for ethical reasons

Ok so I really want to like seafood but I just don't like that fishy taste. The wisky well I've been going through different kinds of liquor I want to try before I die. However I suck at it cause well I'm a light weight but I'm trying new things. I'm Irsh whiskey is on my list. So I wouldn't mind that. The beer well the gluten may keep me from trying it. The Shepard pie well I just couldn't bring myself to eat the lamb. I love them. I might starve to death there lol.
@WoltersWorldEats
@WoltersWorldEats 2 жыл бұрын
Lol you wouldn't. There is so much more. I hated fish until I lived on the coast...it makes a difference. Whisky is an acquired taste for most but on oatmeal with sweet cream might be the best way to try it. If you're into tasting new liquors buy airplane bottles so you aren't wasting money. Shepherd's Pie is fine even if you don't like lamb, it's got so many other flavors it's a good way to ease into lamb as a main meat. As to beer, I don't like it but I always have a sip of my husband's just to try.

Good to know starving to death on vacation doesn't have the best ring to it. If I do buy a bottle I drink the whole thing no matter what. It may take me some time but I push through. But I may do the little airplane bottles now. Maybe I'll try so seafood near the coast ( maybe).
