I just did a DOT Physical last week and got my CDL Permit this week, Now I barely signed up for Wilson Logistics. Lets Hope I get the Opportunity

Hey Cole! Our trainers aren't kids, especially because you have to be 21 to even earn your CDL! In order to train D-seats, our drivers must have two years of experience with a Class A CDL, in addition to extra safety criteria. It certainly isn't easy being over the road with someone for 2-3 months, but we try our hardest to pair students and trainers based on specific preferences, interest, and personality. Thanks!

I have a complicated Question for you? I have some past to clean up and some hoops to Hulu but in about a year I want to get my CDL. 19 years ago I got a DUI with a CDL endorsement in my personal vehicle. Upon calling DMV mandatory action and asking them if I would have any problems getting my CDL again they said oh! Why didn’t you get the 1 year suspension? What about your 3 years of SR22? I’m like huh? I don’t know🤷🏼‍♀️ what about it? I should NOT have called and asked any questions 😭 Now they slapped on a 1 year suspension for a CDL and said I need 3 years of SR22 WTH!? 19 years later? DMV said they can go back 55 years!! Unbelievable! My question is… Once I’m done with my CDL suspension, I will have 2 years to go on my SR22. Perfect driving record other wise and everything explainable. Zero points. Will it be hard to get my CDL because of this?

Hey there! We do train in both 10-speed manuals and automatics. We do still have 10-speed manuals in our fleet, although all of our newer trucks will be automatics. Thanks!

Hey Luis! Before you arrive at our terminal for your first day, we provide you with the study materials you need for the permit test in advance. We do have students that don't study at all and won't pass due to lack of preparation, that's why we stress reading the permit materials! For drivers that don't pass, they do get another try. @@Mobius-Storm Great question! You do NOT need a permit from your home state, unless you live in Illinois. Illinois is the only state that doesn't allow you to transfer your CDL. Our students earn their permit in the state that our terminal is in. So, if you joined us in Springfield, MO or Missoula, MT you would get a CDL permit in either state during your second day of training. I hope that clears things up!

Hey there! Student's who are D-seats (permit only) do not run as a team with their trainers. During that time, the trainer must be in the passenger seat on duty. Once you become an A-seat (CDL earned) you and your trainer will run as a team! After the first week, our training is OTR! With our fuel incentive program, the average in our fleet right now is between .42 and .43 cents per mile, but you can earn up to .45 cents per mile. Our Western 11 drivers start out at .45 CPM. Hi Ron! Home time during training varies depending on what you and your trainer decided/live. If you both want to knock out the miles asap or live far from each other, it may be 5-6 weeks before you get home. If you and your trainer value home time during training or live near each other, you may be able to get home after 3-4 weeks. We pay for a bus ticket but if you choose to fly, we can reimburse you up to the amount we would have originally paid for a bus ticket. Once you get to Missoula, we will have an uber pick you up from the bus station or airport to take you to the hotel.
