Your videos are a Godsend!🙌 despite knowing that my child isn’t different (developmentally) I’ve struggled with not taking it personally 🥲 watching your videos reminds me that parenting isn’t for the faint of heart & that I’m not alone in the “battles”, which makes me feel better for some reason☺️😆 thank you for this! Thank you so much for this wonderful video. It describes perfectly well my 6-year-old' s behaviour...I have felt such a relief to know that his behaviour is normal and just a developmental phase..Looking forward for the 6 years and a half improvement...

Hi Anna, I have to say this video is highly validating! I have been taking my 6yr old's behaviour very personally and have been beating myself up - which is why I have even googled for advice. Even though I have an awareness of these things already and a lot of things seems very common sense, going through this is a very different situation. Yes it is a wild rollercoaster ride! I'm very glad I came across your video. I'm not going crazy! Thank God.

I spent one on one time last night for 2 hours and today he was the doing the worst. We had a great time and connected. Im very confused as to why he’s doing the worst today
@GrowwithAnnaB29 күн бұрын
@@salma_Nella22 the link between connection and better behaviour doesn't work that way. It's not as clean cut. Him doing the worst today has nothing to do with you spending 2hrs with him yesterday. Connection is important as it allows to stay connected to our kids during dysregulated periods, it doesn't necessarily mean their misbehaviour will disappear completely. Hope that makes sense

Thank you for the amazing summary! All great tips. Is there a book on 7year olds?
@GrowwithAnnaB2 жыл бұрын
You are most welcome! Yes there are books til 14yo I believe - although I do feel that from 8yo kids become very much individuals and it's a lot harder to pick themes but that's just my personal opinion. I haven't had a chance to do a summary on the 7yo one yet.

Hi, I am really enjoying your videos. Thank you. My son is 6 years old and has developed an extreme attitude problem (and violent) towards people. We are trying to figure out what to do and how to stop this with no luck so far.
@GrowwithAnnaB2 жыл бұрын
So glad you found me and that you are finding these videos helpful. Highly recommend you watch my summary of 'The Explosive Child' for a framework on how to approach conversation with your kid. At 6yo I reckon he should be able to tell you what's happening to him. It's definitely a phase but obviously you are wanting to stop or rather avoid the violent behaviour. Some things I'd specifically look into - get feedback from his teacher, try to gather if there are friendship issues, any change in his life at the moment? Best of luck with it all!
