Pretty massive fan of the new mechanics. They make all characters feel stronger in direct ways. Itll be very interesting to see what tier lists look like in about 2 more month's. I find Deflect Shield to be a bit hard to use. When it works, it WORKS. Getting a full punish on your opponent who auto piloted their blockstring feels amazing. When you Shield and it "works" but gets you hit in the end, thats a situatiom to still be explored because its annoying but it might he able to change the RPS. The amount of burst regained in a round also really changes some factors as to how I play. Ive been considering some meter management options similar to Street Fighter where I dont want to run out of resources before my opponent.

This patch scared me at first, seeing the patch notes as an Anji player had me dooming, especially considering the fact that footage came out of the removal of his Fuujin counterhits beforehand. But now that the patch has been out a while and I've played a bunch of games, I'm definitely happy with where Anji is, and I think that the new system mechanics are great for him. Midare is also CRACKED, which I love and my friends hate.

For the next big change a few seasons from now, I feel like splitting the tension gauge into 4 parts, one bar for RC and 2 for overdrive would give so many more rc and overdrive options! On top of this they should also bring back EX characters which would be the older versions of each returning character! Imagine how cracked fun and wacky that'd be!

Roman Cancel and Overdrives are already incredibly strong, they don't need to be made more common by reducing the meter cost. I think that system is good as is, and doesn't need any changes.

Really enjoying the patch. My only complaint is that the additional defensive mechanic they added feels almost useless against the characters that have been the hardest and scariest to defend against. Seems to be almost completely nullified by big normals, advancing specials, and projectiles. So HC, Ram, May, Nago, and some others can just do their normal stuff without having to plan around it at all.

As an axl player the patch basically meant nothing to me since he doesnt get as much as the rest of the cast from the new mechanics. A sleeper pick for me this patch is ino. Her new move is deceptively good, and while i normally do good agaisnt them, this patch she feels harder to fight now

Never seen a guilty gear patch and Zato players be satisfied. They downplay harder than MK10 reptile players.
