I'm more excited about the new lightening improvements. The small ones they have done so far look 100x better. Hopefully they keep updating cutscenes, textures and lightening. The game looks so much better now than it did 10 years ago. Wouldn't mind another KOTFE level of story though.

The lighting improvements are the most hype thing imo. Lighting and shaders drastically add for graphics. But also drastically cause wear n tear on the post processor in the PC. 1 step forward to a hopeful graphics overhual. Kinda tired of my toons looking like they belong in the Jimmy Newtron universe.

I still come back to this game from time to time to replay a class story but for me the last major update (if you can call it it that) was the straw that broke the camels back and seems to be pretty much milk mode since. It's still the best story MMO out there but the only MMO I am looking forward to playing these days is Ashes of creation. I wonder what would have happened to SWTOR if EW didn't buy BW in 2007...

I like that they give players control over the shine or matte of there armor than having to update all of the armor by force. So if someone likes to keep it vanilla as it was before they can for the classic look or add new life to there favorite sets.

As someone who liked to buy and sell I'm really happy to hear about the GTN changes. last time I played sooo many things on there were literally being sold for the credit cap. It was so absurd. On the flip side I *did* manage to make a killing by selling tradeskill items. But yeah a more balanced economy will be better for the game in the long run.

I'm glad they're still making an effort to update the game... having returned after multiple years of absence, I just can't help feeling that the original base game is still the most substantive part (followed by KOTFE which I liked)... with the fanbase's insatiable thirst for infinitely new content, I almost wish there was an official A.I. Developer who would feed the current game's story content into an A.I. model and have it regularly output very large amounts of stories, game assets, etc... there'd have to be lots of quality checking, but it won't otherwise ever be humanly or economically possible to rival the base game storylines

13:44 I don't get what makes the lighting better here. In the original, there's a lot of blue light because the characters are surrounded by computer screens - this is the Havoc Squad HQ on Ord Mantell. With the new lighting the original mood and atmosphere of the location is lost. I still haven't seen any shots of this new cutscene lighting looking better than what was there before.

The game needs a graphical update. WoW did an update years back and it was good... swtor could benefit from a touch up. Also they should smooth out some combat/UI features and make companions heal less early on so it doesn't feel easy mode for new players/characters.
