Many thanx for the updates.. As a long time swtor player who 'fell to the darkside' for a few years I recently returned and was feeling a little lost in anything except story (which is and has always been my main content anyway) But watching this and your other videos has helped me to fill in the blanks knowledge wise.. I dropped off the story a little after the start of the 'Return of Malgus' arc as felt burned out from non stop playing and fell into things like ESO during that time instead but it never had that one thing i craved from SWTOR which was the feeling you were in a story.. needless to say coming back to swtor older and now wiser is quite refreshing, even if a little like playing catch up sometimes on the various classes.. Needless to say after doing the 4th full run of the same story regardless of Imperial or Republic it has slowed things But it actually feels good to be back in this universe again despite what troubles the makers have had and despite a few questionable game choices like the removal of voice acting at places in place of those dialogue pickers.. I missed the reason they did that when looking what was new.. Not sure why so many have said that swtor is over, doomed etc etc because as far as i can tell from this video and from my own return experiences, The game feels very much alive and as enjoyable as ever even if a slight step down from what we had during KOTFE which i dont think will ever be beaten..

Thanks for the video. I don't use social media much, but If I could suggest any easy changes to SWTOR that could mean a world of difference I would recommend two things. 1) Let us drag companion summoning onto our toolbar or choose a "favorites" "summon random favorite" with an ability for that in our legacy we can put on our toolbar. Looking through the 500 companions we have is awful. 2) This is a graphical addition WoW has. When in raids or pvp have a separate graphic settings available. I turn shadows off when I pvp to get much higher performance and others with more limited setups even have to turn shaders down, vegetation etc. I think both these easy to implement options would be a huge quality of life increase.

Once you finish tier 10 Bessie is opened up for all your characters on your account, not just on legacy, just pay a 1 time 10 cartel coin fee. It took me about 7 weeks. She loves military gifts to get her to 50 influence. DPS is at least as good as Shae and Orbital Strike is her AOE. It will take 3 weeks to finish tier 11 and you get a custom skin for her.

Sounds like the game is going strong. Very nice to hear. Recently lost a large chunk of my characters in Rift when they merged older servers, but didn't forcibly move characters. If you didn't transfer them manually, they weren't moved. Learned about the mergers a few weeks after they actually concluded. RIP my Rift experience. Gamigo did something similar with Archeage, and again lost my characters there. I suppose it's the inevitable end of all MMOs, but still feels incredibly bad when it happens.

Thank you very much for the video, Swtorista: it`s informative, interesting, and on the personal note - I really like your voice. ) Okay, now I have a few thoughts on the future of our favorite game, please let me know what you think as well. As I see it, the 'hints' the devs said they`d been leaving clearly lead us towards the life support SWTOR is going to get put on. But, it might actually be a good thing, if what I think comes true: you see, all the talks about Darth Nul and her ability to see the Force and all the hidden potential in everyone, combined with that cathar girl we`ve met on Ord Manetel, who could all of a sudden use the Force as well as fire a gun... I`d think, that story-wise, Heta will be able to build this machine of hers, and it will most likely work as the Mass Effect 3 Crucible: the mighty wave across the galaxy, that 'unlocks' everyone`s hidden Force Powers or other skills. Thus it may give us actual ability to make cross-classes, using both Tech and Force powers, different weapons, eventually and ultimately making our on unique characters and builds. It all fits in their early statements on 'playing the way you want'. That said, I believe the devs will still leave 'pure' classes as they are - for PVP and other content, hence they will surely be stronger than the mixed ones, simply by having rotations and built-in bonuses. So you could chose to create the old-style character, or the 'awakened' one. And all the imbalance it might bring will easily be smoothed out by the facts that as I`ve said pure classes would still be better or the new, mixed ones, or would simply not be alllowed into PVP. To my mind, that would be very good idea and it will hook more players to the game, be it not having new content, but letting us almost endlessly create our own unique builds everyone`s been asking for a decade: like a Jedi with a gun, or a melee Tech class and whatnot. Anyways, I sure hope I`m right - and I`m already gathering cool armor and weapons for my (possible) future chars. Let me know, what you think, and once again - thank you for all your wonderful content. Youar Academy series is really well done and is pure joy to watch. )

I’ve been playing since 2012. There were loads of players back then but ever since they introduced the option of switching servers, they lost a shit ton of loyal long term players due to all the restrictions posed and dead economy in the APAC server. It was really the foolishness of BioWare who caused many to permanently quit. The only reason I’m still playing is cuz I didn’t switch servers so the S.A server still has a somewhat healthy economy, just that prices on the GTN have shot up sky high cuz not many ppl remaining compared to its golden years.

As a pvper adding adrenals and medpacs to the pvp reward track is a huge "F U we dont care about adding actual rewards". Like really? I have 3000 adrenals and medpacs in my inventory.

Here's hoping Broadsword are working towards a big graphical update. The vanilla character models are looking way out of date and inconsistent against the new story npc characters. It's been happening since KotET with newer characters looking a lot more detailed in realism. And now with Sa'har, compare her to Vette and they look like they're from different universes. If say Update 8.0 gives us character models update Broadsword will have put they own stamp on the game in a big way.

Got to love swtor's idea of spring, which is at best late spring/early summer. Also not blown away by anything we're getting, the only thing I was interested in requires getting a character through the really boring recent game story (i kind of checked out after slogging through manan and the awful gameplay of fighting the same enemy over and over and over again with zero variety). And then having to do things on the new dailies. I'll probably try the new event but I doubt it's something I'll come back to much. Although if it's not a nightsister themed Halloween event I doubt I'll be that interested. It also doesn't help that the current dantooine event is the only one I've never completed and thus just seems like more of the same rewards wise. New pvp rewards are disappointing yet again, guess I'll just stick to the old ranked ones, cause the new rewards are just boring (especially in comparison). I don't think I've ever finished a pvp season cause it's just not worth the effort. Nightlife wise, meh, I guess the 9ne new reward is cool but we'll probably just keep getting that mountbwe all have 100 of again (I literally throw them away now and i wish they'd either remove them or lower the drop rate). Story wise I'm glad that it's kind of moving forward I guess. I just wished that they had done one or the other, what we have just feels like a m8x of three completely different ideas ands as such none of them have been properly explored or focused on. I guess the graphics thing is good but I always put graphics last over gameplay, story and features. Not the worst update but since 7.0 I've found everything disappointing and I'm starting to no longer hopebthe game will get back to it's good updates and just feel meh about every new update and just keep doing the stuff I normally do 8n the game.

@livingthevoidlife9396 I think that's my big problem with it, they set up malgus (all the way back in jedi under seige), advertised the new story about revolving around malgus and then randomly sidelined him for a B plot story with boring characters (I'm guessing cause the mandalorian show was popular so they bumped their mando subplot up to full story). The things going on with malgus are far more interesting and linked more with the general state of the galaxy, instead we're getting involved in a mandalorian civil war that takes forever to actually start amd resolve.

The story element to the game was the initial draw. Your story was different depending upon your role, so your replays in different roles gave you a bigger story. When they dumped that in the Revan Resurrected storyline, it diminished the scope of the game. The Eternal Throne campaigns are almost impossible to get through more than once. When they brought back Malgus, it was a mess. This current one is all over the place. There needs to be a return to giving better endgame content. The OPS need to be completely redone in terms of level and difficulty options and balance that with the rewards (gear) to make it more accessible to more people. My guilds have DIED and I cannot run OPs anymore because more often than not, pick-up groups and/or the matchmaker is a mess.
