Blitz Works lol that’s brutal, a lot of stairs. So you got a track?! I got the smaller sized tiles, I believe the smaller tiles are 30cm & larger are 50cm. I got the smaller size since the larger track needs a lot of room & I don’t have that much space yet.

Safe your bread. Build your own track. As you can see, you will imagine once you get good, you're gonna want to race someone. The problem with those tire is they aren't wide enough. If you double up on the width it would be wide enough for 4 and more car races. But imo and experimenting, that is too wide for a living room setup. But I found something that's perfect and is that twenty bucks and just looking for a solution that would make connecting my track segments seemlessly. For now they overlap at 2x paperthin

The track & car are crazy grippy, I couldn't imaging how stuck the car would be with super softs.. I got soft tires so they wouldn't ware out super fast, but now I cant stop thinking about how fast super soft tires would be lol The car has crazy grip when exiting the corners, but I think I need to weight down the front a bit so I can make more aggressive entries on the corners. The car will flip over if i carry too much speed into a corner, so thats why I think a small weight in the front would help, but I'm not sure, it's just a suspicion. Do you race or drive your MR-03 much? Hope your staying safe & having fun with your toys ;)

Hey, looking at this track. Do you need to build the entire thing out each time or can you make it shorter / smaller to accommodate a smaller space?

You don’t have to build it out fully but then it would be super tight & hard to drive. This size is pushing it (I have the smaller size tiles)
@warmfreeze11 ай бұрын
most of the guys at my local track purposely put the radials on "backwards" because they get more grip *supposedly* personally i dont see ANY difference and think the entire claim that they are directional is a crock at such a small scale and shouldn't make any difference unless you are driving it in the rain in which case the argument is stupid...LOL

Too bad these tracks went up $100 in the last 2 months. What are the overall dimensions of the outside of the track? Length and width?
@BMR34 жыл бұрын
Price increase is due to tariffs & the trade war with China. Personally I’m fine paying the increased price, & hopefully it will encourage a US manufacturer to produce these tiles. Dimensions are: 8 feet by 12 feet

@@BMR3 awesome bud thank you, I've been working on a DIY track out of eva foam tiles, I have enough for a 12' × 8' track but from what I've read online grip is an issue until the tiles have been used enough to be worn in so I may just have to break down and get one of these mini tracks and maybe the expansion kit for it
@BMR34 жыл бұрын
pmm4177 I highly recommend the rcp track, grip on the smooth side is out of control with soft tires! The quality of the foam is very good but it’s also easy to damage if your not careful. If you have the money for an expansion kit & the room this little kit could be amazing. You could reconfigure some really fun layouts. This one in the video is about $280, I think the larger 50cm tracks are a bit more expensive but I’m not sure where you got the $800 number. You should be able to get the larger size track with at least 1 or two expansion kits for $800. Yep the tiles are puzzle Matt’s but they are made of a special material. People on Facebook have been trying to replicate the rcp tracks with puzzle mats to varying degrees of success. If you have the diy skills you could make a much better home track with plywood & carpet for a fraction of the cost.

@@Retrograde99 Yep you can use the cheep puzzle mats from Amazon or Harbor Freight & make railings yourself. I see a lot of people use those mats & cut up pool noodles or hoses for the track barriers/railing. @@BMR3 i have an idea maybe the tiles of the original track have like a textue right? Well at least the tiles from amazon have that diamond patern if you look on the side where the tiles connect it supposed to feel different because it has no texture and is from what i think grippier if you sand down the texture that is on top you wil have that smooth texture that is on the side as in the side where you can see the thickness to be clear just no one has ever tryed that before and also you know those rubber tiles from the playground? There are some of those that are smooth as well if you get a bit bigger and harder compound rubber tyres like i have on my mini z and make a track out of those i think in the summer as an outdoor track the rubber will get a bit warmer and make it even more sticky no one has ever tried that before as well maybe something to test (new video idea?)
