because if they don’t people will just store like 20 horses in their base ,have multiple people doing the exact same thing and it will lag the server. horses need to decay so new ones respawn that others can use

Corn is also great I have build a pve base once with 60 horses and a farm together and none of the horses died for 2 weeks But it was anoying to refill all the feeders and having to sit on all the horses for a few secs..

Yeah kinda mental considering console players like to grief like crazy you keep it outside its gonna be stolen or killed upon sight i feel if you keep them indoors and that area has efficient light like windows and or cieling lamps maybe even a sprinkler to keep them wet and hydrated they shouldnt despawn as quickly only saying because i would like to own a horse for a whole wipe but i know if i leave it outside there goes all that scrap and time purchasing and riding it to my base.

tf are yall doing with your life, feeding horses teas.. why is this a discussion just feed them and they run faster, get more stamina, and dont decay. they eat anything even shit you cant so raw meat they eat it and it does the same amount as cooked. pickles are easily the best food for horses i dont know why this is even a discussion. if youre keeping horses just go to bandit and buy an inventory of pickles its actually that easy.

Because with potatoes maxed out compared to pickles in a feeder they can last longer indoors without dying

Potatoes are better for horses specifically but pumpkins are far more versatile. I’d recommend breeding perfect pumpkins and not bothering with potatoes unless you have the extra water and room to plant them.

Pumpkins have higher stamina i beleive for horses but less health then potatoes for horses or it might be the opposite you gotta test and see but from what ive learned using potatoes in the feeder will keep them alive linger then pumpkins because they eat to fill stamina and health so if stamina gets low they eat if health gets low they eat so potatoes filling that perfect amount each time it degenerates it wont eat double the food so your feeder stays full 2 times as long

Potatoes are hard to notice. They look like a baby plant that hasnt grown and they ate small and low to the ground. They also just look like a regular plant kind of its just a bunch of leaves. You wont see potatoes on the plant.

What constitutes the horses being counted as indoors. is it just a roof? or being surrounded by walls make them be considered indoors? is there a way like having them be on the grass while surrounded by a base with foundations on the outside holding it up work for keeping them at a lower decay rate?

Roof over head same with boats a boat under a roof wont decay but if circled with walls with no roof will so if a roof is over your horse its indoors

Tea is used for giving more health instead of standard 100 you can have like 150 health or you can instantly get health back unlike medical supplies that might give a little back at once and gradually give more the health pot gives alot of health instantly. There are also pots for getting more scrap when breaking barrels and pots for beaing able to get higher percentages when collecting ores. Theres also one for radiation but is kind of pointless when you can just wear the correct clothes and not need to brew pots and waste supplies
