Every Iranian I've ever met has been really, really good at math or extremely hard-working. I'd rather not go into a conflict with Russia or Iran. Israel's problem. Not ours.

I mean… one thing every foreigner fails to understand is how distinct our government and people are. Just try ignoring Russia and Iran and our regimes will spread their ill intentions closer to you. Just like us who live here in Iran.

@@googleisgarbage Iran is focused on itself. Whatever the government, Iranians are much more civilized than Russians honestly. Iran has the worst disparity from image to reality in the world. People don't realize how incredibly cultured, nice and not obsessively religious Iranians are. Special people IMO.

President Raisi was traveling on a Bell 212 helicopter ( US made) acquired before the Iranian Revolution, military expert says...That is 1970s technology. Add US Sanctions on Iran since the revolution, meaning parts and service on these American made choppers has NOT been present since then. Using an aircraft made by an adversary and that for important political figures - What is Iranian Security apparatus thinking? I mean, why would a nation use carriers supplied by adversary? Iranians should have done this LOOOOOONNNGGGG time ago - start switching helicopters and planes from a friendly country so that training, service and parts are all in place. I do not understand why they kept those American fleet and that for carrying important political leaders around. I hope Iranians do something about their approach to this. They should.

AMONG the 6, not BETWEEN. Between is used to compare 2 only ("tween"=2). You're showing photos of the 6. You should identify which is which -- otherwise, don't bother, just give the names.

@robertr9134 This is our principal for in the Middle East. It matters who runs it. Although constrained by the Ayatollah, a moderate might be easier to deal with regarding Iran's push for nuclear capability, or at home, regarding the treatment of women. So it matters

Qalibaf is the next president. He was chief police of Tehran during Tehran University protests in 1999 and ex Revolutionary Guards in 80s and mayor and very close to the Supreme Leader. Saeed Jalili is too moderate like Rouhani.

Why We, as a Wise Nation, Choose Not to Vote in Iran’s Elections As a nation with a rich history and a deep understanding of our political landscape, many of us have decided to abstain from the upcoming elections for several reasons: 1. Lack of Genuine Representation: The Guardian Council’s stringent vetting process disqualifies numerous candidates, leaving us with choices that merely reflect the regime’s views. This process undermines the very essence of democracy, making our votes feel inconsequential . 2. Human Rights Violations: The persistent human rights abuses by the government, including the suppression of free speech, arbitrary arrests, and violent crackdowns on protests, make participation seem like an endorsement of these actions. We cannot in good conscience support a system that perpetuates such violations . 3. Widespread Corruption: The systemic corruption within our government means that elected officials often become part of the same corrupt apparatus. This pervasive corruption erodes trust and makes meaningful change through elections feel impossible . 4. Empty Promises of Reform: Despite repeated promises of reform, significant change has remained elusive. The political landscape largely remains unchanged, leading to widespread disillusionment with the electoral process . 5. Election Fraud: Past elections have been marred by allegations of fraud and manipulation, further eroding trust in the process. Without transparency, many of us feel our votes don’t truly count . 6. A Form of Protest: For many, abstaining from voting is a powerful statement. It signals a rejection of the entire political system and highlights the urgent need for fundamental, rather than superficial, changes . By not voting, we aim to delegitimize the current regime and draw international attention to our plight. It’s a call for real democratic reforms in Iran. This is why we, as a wise and discerning nation, choose to abstain from voting in this flawed system.
