I am a swede and I'm gonna tell some things that he said a little more; 1: Everyone know english. Yeah, he's right, we have learned english from pre-school or even daycare. 2: Expensive alcohol. Yes, he's pretty right. But when he said there is only *ONE* store, there can be some misunderstandings, there is actually often atleast one in every municipality in small cities, but in most larger cities there is pretty many of these stores. They are called "Systembolaget". 3: Visit stockholm. That is pretty true, I would reccomend that you visit Stockholm / Gothenburg or another city. 4: Use trains. This is pretty good said, they are smart to use to transport around 5: Public wifi. He's actually saying true things, almost everything has Public wifi. If you're going to sweden, have a great visit and thank you for visiting! But if you're just reading this, thank you for reading! (Edit: For anyone complaining about my mistake in english, stop complaining and look at your own english. Some people who complained had way worse english. And for those english speaking annoying people that their english is bad, they learned the language just for you to know what they says. So stop it.)

@Potatwielder5 ай бұрын
To discover Sweden somewhat, you need a couple of weeks. Here are my recommendations: 1. Cities to visit: Stockholm (the capital, beautiful place) Göteborg (second largest city with the biggest theme park and other cool stuff) Malmö (two nights here, one for transfers, and another for experiences) Visby (home to a very old town wall and other cool ruins and buildings) "The west coast" Lysekil, Smögen, Strömstad and so on (very touristy, and for a good reason. Try the shrimp!) Falun (cool mining town in central Sweden, surrounded by typical (beautiful) Swedish terrain) Örnsköldsvik (the city is not that interesting, but Höga kusten is. There land has risen over 300m in a couple thousand years and is thus home to the "highest coast" in the world) Kiruna (home of the ice hotel, in the far north, experiences the northern lights and has polar days and nights, meaning the sun sometimes doesnt rise or fall. Whats not to like? 2. Nature, the nature in Sweden is stunning. Just go wherever really. We have right to roam laws so go ahead and roam. I generally recommend "fjällen", aka the mountains. Grövelsjön, Sarek, Idre fjäll, Åre, Abisko. We also have big lakes like Vänern and Vättern. Aaaaand nice forests like the ones in Omberg. 3. Other sights: Rökstenen (viking runes) Ancient petroglyphs (more common on the west coast) Kålmården (zoo theme park hybrid) 4. Transit: In Stockholm, take public transit. It's good. Use the SL app to buy tickets and to find your way around. In Malmö and Göteborg it's up to you. In all the others, take a car. When travelling intercity, take a train if the distances are long. Trust me, Sweden is not small, and very sparcely populated. And trains allow you to relax and get some sleep, much better than driving for ten hours. 5. Come in summer. Except when going to Kiruna. In summer the temperature is good and the nature stunning. In winter half of the country is cold moist depression, and the other buried in snow. And thats all I bothered to write. If you only plan on visiting Sweden for a couple of days, then just go to Stockholm and maybe Göteborg. But please stay longer than that, maybe next year? Hope this helps if I'm not to late😊

Alcohol here is expensive yes! But do not buy it at the airport! Airports tend to be more expensive than normal, so usually, it's not worth it. Especially if you land in Copenhagen in Denmark to then go to Sweden. The most affordable alcohol is beer which you find at bars and most grocery stores. But apart from "Systembolaget", bars and clubs, it's illegal to sell drinks that contain more than 4,5% or 5,5% alcohol (something around that) in Sweden.

While I do like Stockholm (and have lived in the Stockholm area), if tourists have limited time and want to visit both Denmark and Sweden, going to Malmö instead is a good idea. I'm not sure why Malmö has such a bad rap as being dangerous and a place to avoid - it's absolutely not and has a great old town area (Gamla staden vs Gamla Stan in Stockholm). Stockholm has more big museums and the Royal Palace, but there is a lack of an actual high speed rail. There is the SJ Snabbtåg which just has fewer stops. If you are going from Copenhagen to Stockholm, it really takes 5 hours of travel time, plus with all the time getting to and from the train stations that's a full day. Malmö has a lot of nice restaurants and nightlife, the old medieval city area which is adjacent to shopping, and Malmö Castle. I know people who have tried to do all these countries during a 2 week trip to Europe and spent most of the time traveling between those countries. Taking advantage of areas like Copenhagen and Malmö (or the ferry between Stockholm and Turko Finland) would make those types of trips easier).

@cianmacgana9092 Historically, rape has been defined as forced sexual intercourse initiated against a woman or man by one or several people, without consent. In recent years, several revisions to the definition of rape have been made to the law of Sweden, to include not only intercourse but also comparable sexual acts against someone incapable of giving consent, due to being in a vulnerable situation, such as a state of fear or unconsciousness. In 2017, there were 4,895 reported rape cases and 190 convictions. In 2018, Sweden passed a new law that criminalizes sex without consent as rape, even when there are no threats, coercion, or violence involved. Sweden no longer requires prosecutors to prove the use or threat of violence or coercion. This led to a rise in convictions of 75% to 333.

Its pretty funny to hear people saying how pretty Stockholm is as someone living and from there. Like Gamlastan is very nice yes and you should visit that part, but the non-tourist rest of Stockholm, where most people (including me) live is not super pretty and sometimes ugly or boring

DONT VISIT STOCKHOLM AT THE MOMENT ITS NOT ALWAYS SAFE. BUT YOU COULD VISIT GOTLAND OR ÖLAND
@Robloxpixie116 ай бұрын
Well, a swede I cannot confirm that. Uh in some places, but it barely happens. We have laws and lots off police’s and good security in Sweden. I hope you feel safe when visiting Sweden 🇸🇪 😮😊

@wolfyffx just don't approach young men with gucci caps on because they think they're gangsters and all that so they will threaten you lol

@wolfyffxtrue, we have great security. But still, there’s lots off gang shooters in Rynkeby. stay careful and avoid big gangs.
