I ride english and western. I’ve always been told to position the bit so there’s two wrinkles on the side of the horse’s mouth. I noted you said there shouldn’t be any wrinkles. 9:29 Is there a particular reason?

If you teach the horse to hold the bit your communication will be better. Wrinkles create tension which leads to stifness.

When you were doing her right front hoof, she put her mouth/nose on your back. My horse does that too. I’m a novice and it always worries me, although he has never bit. Is that Behavior that should be corrected?

Good question. I try to gage the horse's intent. If the horse is just being curious I don't do anything, if I think they are thinking about biting then I discourage it. This was the first time I worked this horse so I think she was just taking in what I was doing.

Don't like her back right in that walk. It's scuffing the ground and back left stiff compensating.

You'll see a big improvement when I get her shoulders up and her hind end engaged better.
