Great video. Too many people focus on bug out bags to race into the wilderness. I have a grab bag which includes all the gear you have listed as well as a little more. When an a payment in our building was on fire I grabbed mine and ran out. First family out of the block. Some choice to stay in as they couldn’t see the danger. So include common sense to.

I am building a go bag for those go to the ER for someone. Usually a 24 hour max event. My husband is a firefighter so this happens quite a lot. Thanks for the useful info. I am doing a car bag also for when traffic gets backed up so go ideas to start out with and I can add things as I think if them or find out the hard way it would have been helpful.

I was listening to the radio today and one of the guests said everyone should have a grab and go bag regardless of where you live etc. This was highlighted whilst they were talking about the recent floods in Germany.

I and my hiking buddies have had more than a dozen encounters with mountain lions and grizzlies. You need eyes on the back of your hats and facemasks that redirect lions, they can be detoured from the standard back attack and are triggered to attack if you run. You need bear spray and sizable full tang knives. Water treatment is necessary, at least a prefilter, a saturated iodine solution, a shinny metal canteen and a 365nm UV sterilizing light. In the event of a nuclear conflict the iodine detours the dangerous untake of radioactive Iodine 131. You may hide from radioactive fallout under bridges and large structures. Recharge is best if you have USB charging solar panels.

You’re welcome and I’m glad I could help. Often people will have the items they need already, they just need to put them together in one place.

Hello these would be handy and useful items to have in a go type bag, and maybe even build on too. Just to add. Battery bank and dedicated spare charging and phone/device cables. Some people put items behind there phone cases like important numbers, and offline information like PDF's. Spare shoes(runners) broken in maybe useful too. 13:42 :) take CaRe

I want to prepare for an earthquake and we will be away from home and away from help for 48-72 hours.Should me and my family prepare individual grab and go bags or prepare two bug out bags ? I am looking forward to hear your suggestions

Preparing one each is always a good idea in case you are separated. That being said you could always put a family bag in the car or have it as an additional bag in the house. It’s up to you really.

I have a 60ltr osprey backpack with a day pack I'm trying to pack to the moon and back. How do I pack light? Any suggestions?

I found with a bigger bag it allows more room for optional extras! So either go through your current kit and really evaluate what you have and if you NEED it. You might have to be quite cutthroat to winnow down to just the essentials. But if you’re happy to carry extras, and are able to, then go for it!

It’s depends. I would say enough to buy food and gas, for at least a couple days.

Lets bring shampoo and conditioner but no form of shelter, a charger but no knife or fire starter what a fucking joke. This guy would think its a disaster if the local ATM was out of cash.

Thanks for the comment. The video is for a grab and go bag as opposed to a bug out bag. Think of it as a short displacement rather than surviving in the woods for a few days. Where I live in western Canada we were experiencing pretty bad wildfires and short notice evacuations were common for areas close to the fires. The expectation was relocating to another town to stay with friends/family, or in the worst case heading to an evacuation centre. The items suggested will help in that situation. And as for the knife, I always carry one on me and I believe I mentioned that at the beginning. Moving forwards I’ll do my best to clarify the situation at the start to avoid misunderstandings

This video is NOT about surviving in the wilderness. Its a bag for urban users who need to survive for a few days as they get to an evac center. You don't need a knife for 2 days of urban survival.
Incredible magic 🤯✨
