This is exactly what I needed, this is a whole lot better than the other tutorials, most of those are just overwhelming and they forget to mention the little things they don't think about any more that a newbie wouldn't know.

This all looks like an insane amount of fun. But I can't quite balance on my bike without a tiny bit of forward motion. But riding on ice, frozen slush, and uneven snow is helping me.

So ..how have you progressed?
@offdaystv25 күн бұрын
@@christophertrabulsie360 Crazy to look back on this after a year and I’m glad you asked 😂. I can now comfortably pivot (Endo) on trails and use it where it makes sense. I have no dabbed the hardest technical trails at my local trail system, and can pedal drop 2-3ft drops and can usually get up ledges that are 2+ft higher by using the punch/rear wheel lift technique. Practicing these drills really helped.

@@christophertrabulsie360 sorry to info overload but I do believe the track stand is the most important technique to learn especially when riding slow tech/steep chutes.

Thanks again, liked and subbed. These basic moves are exactly what I need. Been riding for 50 years but never really advanced my riding much beyond just light trails on chesp road or hybrid bikes but lately bought emtb and wanting to explore more technical riding and need to back to basics which is great because I like a challenge and learning new things ... I a bit old for falling so no big jumps etc but I'm game for bit of fin off road.

When keeping the front brake in and jumping with the back wheel to the right thats easy. But with left foot behind, taking the front wheel to the left is quite hard. When you back pedal on the track-stand exercise you drive backwards. How is thar possible without the bike being a fixie?
@SuperRiderTV Жыл бұрын
The backpedal disengages the hub, making it possible to roll back without resistance. I also use my hips to pull the momentum of the bike backward. There is a full video on this channel for the trackstand, definitely check it out if you can!
@Misfits_mtb Жыл бұрын
When hopping on both wheels are you using your brakes?
@SuperRiderTV Жыл бұрын
Yeah! Both brakes on to start - as you develop the skill you can substitute pedal pressure for the brakes (in some scenarios), but best to start with brakes until you get the hang of it.
