What to Put in Military Care Package for Deployed Troop

Thank you for this! Hubby has deployed for the first time since we married and I ran out of ideas quick. Hydration IV was something I really stressed he needed to make sure to take in, since I tend to have to remind him to hydrate, especially now that he’ll be out in the desert. So, definitely recommend those for care packages. To anyone who might see this.

I want to send a care package, but everytime i try to Google where to find someone to send a care package to, it pops up dating websites for soldiers. Not trying to date someone or flirt and all that crap, just want to send some appreciation and know it gets to a person. How can I do that?

Thanks, these are some of the things my wife and I sent to our son when he was in Kwait for nine months. Yes, he became a gym rat and did many laps around the rock. Lol

Such an useful video! What type of socks are best to send in a care package? Are athletic, lower cut socks desired at all or are tall boot socks the way to go? Does the color matter? For a deployed army friend in a non combat zone..

Socks - you could send whatever type the person wears most with casual clothes. Color doesn’t matter. All of that kind of comes down to a personal style preference… But when they wear their uniform, they’ll wear their uniform socks.

Nahhh, no alcohol. Many deployed locations have pretty strict rules when it comes to alcohol consumption and possession. So if the alcohol even makes it through customs to get to your person, you run the risk of them getting in trouble for unauthorized possession of alcohol, depending on that location’s rules.

Yeah, should be able to. All you need for FaceTime is access to wifi. So as long as they have wifi, there are half a dozen ways to communicate with family back home without paying for any sort of international phone plan.
