Well that was lovely I enjoyed my wee walk around good old Ballymoney I have not been back since just before covid, I used to live on Church St right across from your favourite shop Dunn;s in my day it was McCurdy Hamilton we had a butcher's shop McKenna"s it was there for many many years one of the first butcher shops in Ballymoney. I am sure there are people we both know very well one being John Watt a very good friend of mine, you also mentioned Bobby and his sweet shop he was almost next to the Catholic Church I remember going there all the time and the other sweet shop was the Candy Shop wee Margret that shop has long gone. Thank you for your kind comments. I would recommend Cul-Erg guest house in Portstewart. culerg.co.uk. I have stayed there a couple of times. There is also a decent Premier Inn in Coleraine.

Great video, I remember Bobby’s shop. He sold single cigarette for 5 pence each, I went to OLOL and most days we call into Bobby’s for a couple of singles before going to school

Our Lady Of Lourdes? The same school as myself, have the wee walkout through the graveyard because I remember at the point where you could sneak in n out of a hidden area behind the trees beside the bus stop as you drive into Tesco's! Good times they were

I used to work in McElderrys, I remember you`re Dad being the firms accountant, nice man.....The wee video turned out great, shows the Toon in a good way....Well Done .

That's very kind of you to say, Gary. Thank you. A few years ago I managed to see inside my Dad's office one last time when it was being renovated. He used to take me there on a Saturday afternoon when my Mum was shopping. I'd play with his paper and envelopes and we'd then go for a cup of tea and something sweet at the Chat 'n' Chew! Great memories!

Now that was a real trip down memory lane! I don't recall there being so many houses around your old house. The toon looks the same, the shop fronts may be different but not much else is.

Yep, all those houses went up after I'd gone. Would you believe I could actually see the top of Ballymoney High School from my front door!
