First time in Jordan! A quick recap of my 10 days in Jordan with Weroad. From Amman to the Dead Sea to Petra to Wadi Rum.

IN THIS VIDEO I explore Jordan in collaboration with WeRoad. We start from Amman, the city is built on the 7 surrunding hills, making the view very suggestive. The food is amazing in Amman so if you are going to visit make sure to try the staples shawarma and falaffel.
From Amman we went to the Dead Sea and floated in the incredibly salty water. On the way back I decided to stop by a refugee camp and when they saw us they invited us into their tents to drink tea. It was one of my favorite parts of the trip.
From there we headed to Petra, which doesn't need any explanation, words don't give it justice ;) and then finally we made it to Wadi Rum, also known as Valley of the moon, a stunningly beautiful desert.

Ciao Sara, per adesso in Giordania non ci sono mai stata ma è nella mia wishlist sin da quando ero piccola. Come prima meta c’è il Mar Morto perché trovo incredibile che sia il punto più basso della superficie terrestre, ben 400 metri sotto il livello del mare! E poi l’idea di poter galleggiare, l’ho sempre vista come una magia e tutt’ora non voglio credere che ci sia un motivo fisico a questo, ahah. Mi ricorda molto l’assenza di peso e quindi sei libero di poterti muovere nelle tre dimensioni a tuo piacere. Come secondo luogo che vorrei assolutamente visitare è il deserto del Wadi Rum. Essendo un’aspirante astronauta vorrei vedere quale ambiente mi accoglierebbe, eventualmente, al mio arrivo su Marte. Tornando con i piedi sulla terra ahah. Sono super appassionata di astronomia e vorrei poter provare l’ebbrezza e quella pace interiore che si raggiunge quando si osserva il cielo in una nottata particolarmente stellata e buia. Il deserto è un ottimo posto per fare questo. Zero, o quasi, inquinamento atmosferico che ci permette di osservare l’universo nella sua totale bellezza, maestosità e infinità. Secondo me osservarlo ci serve per farci ridimensionare e capire che siamo tutti esseri umani su una “grande barca” che viaggia nell’infinito e che nessuno è migliore di altri ma siamo tutti esseri umani. Un altro posto che vorrei visitare è il mercato delle spezie di Amman. Ogni luogo nel mondo ha un proprio odore e sapore e secondo me sono proprio le spezie che le persone del luogo usano a darglielo. Sono curiosa di sapere che odore si respira quando si cammina tra i vicoli della città, quelli lontani da turisti, dove puoi connetterti con l’essenza vera della città e capirne abitudini ed usanze, trasformandoti così da semplice viaggiatore ad esploratore. L’ultimo, anche se a malincuore, è il sito archeologico di Petra. Mi ha sempre affascinata l’idea di toccare o camminare su qualcosa che ha migliaia di anni. Chissà chi lo ha toccato prima di me o chi ci è passato? Chissà se questo luogo potesse parlare quante storie avrebbe da raccontare.Quando si visitano posti come questo non c’è nulla da dire perché se sappiamo aprire la nostra mente ed il cuore sarà il luogo stesso a trasmetterci tutto quello che vogliamo sapere. Concludo dicendo che personalmente sarebbe un sogno poter aggiungere questa storia al mio scrapbook. Un arricchimento ma soprattutto una grande crescita interiore.
