I bought my engraver to put my Honey Company logo on Mason jar lids and cut out my Egg Farm Company logo on the top of Egg Cartons. Just a while ago I bought a couple wooden recipe book holders off Amazon that were on sale and the plan is to etch an inspirational foody quote and measurement conversion tables on them! Lack of ideas is not something I suffer from, just time and motivation!!

I am new to laser engraving and bought a LaserPecker Pro in December of 2020 but only used it a few times as I can't use it in the house due to the smoke and smell until I get an enclosure. I loved it so much I ordered the LaserPecker 2 on their Kickstarter page the next week. I finally received it the middle of last month but because I had been in the hospital for 2 months I never got to use it yet. I am wondering if you have seen the LaserPecker or not and have any ideas of what would be profitable to engrave with it. I just retired at the end of February and need something to supplement my meager pension.

Hey, I was in a similar situation regarding smoke in the house. I was able to make a relatively simple enclosure using cardboard, tape, and recyling a 6" fan to extract the smoke through a flex hose.. Its definitely possible to DIY an enclosure with a little bit of patience and trial and error. Good luck and have fun.

Thank you for ideas. I’m looking for a decent laser not expensive. I like to engrave wood, leather,glass, tumblers etc. I’m a single mom. A stroke survivor in social security, thus money is tight. With that said what would recommend?

I'd just like to say I agree that you have to burn to learn! BUT be very careful not to burn PVC! There are some materials that are dangerous to cut and can create toxic off gases.....Matt, can you add what these types of materials are that we should avoid? Thanks!

@@laserengravingwithmatt you definitely are inspiring me to go through with opening up my own business, I’ve been thinking about it and I’m scared of all the unknowns and I really want an epilogue but funds say to buy a small omtech to tinker with at first then save some funds to buy epilogue those machines are NICE. Went to local dealer last year and was amazed with it. I’ve been doing all my research with LLC to business banking to supplies, now I just to buy my first laser. Like Matt says “just do it”😂
