Must cross reference with Nomad Capitalist. As a foundational Black person in America, it is imperative to go where the infrastructure and the ratio of decent health care is as close to what's available in the States as reasonably possible. South Africa is OK. Kenya might run a tie for second place along with Ghana. But all of the other nations mentioned just don't cut it.

@@LisaCulton No, as far as I know, there aren't any African countries demanding that African Americans should pay them "6 figures" in order to "offer" them citizenship. I think that would be absurd to put it mildly. How can any African country look the African American in the eye and say that in order to return to Africa, a RIGHT they deserve, amounts to paying "6 figures?" I think it would be injustice in reverse. Therefore, all African Americans should be allowed to return to Africa, so long as they will not be a public charge and as long as they will not be stripped of their American citizenship. They would be required to contribute to the economy of the African country of their choice, using their own assets since there would be no jobs waiting for them. Ghana still is the only viable option on the continent. Maybe Sierra Leone but frankly, they're not my cup of tea. Almost 3 years ago, the Namibian govt also proposed a residency deal for diaspora, but they haven't followed up on it since then. The South African proposal sounds phony. No other sources are talking about it. Besides, I kind of lost interest in SA after their government entered into a power sharing agreement with the white minority political party. Kenya is a beautiful country. Personally no African country should be asking for proof of ancestral lineage from Black people in order to obtain free citizenship in Africa, that is something they should do away with.😌 WHY, aren't we descendants of Africa. However, it's good to know some countries such as SA are offering free citizenship.
@MzeewaUjiji5 ай бұрын
You are wrong. The countries of Namibia and Botswana have 2.5 million people each. They also have some of the highest standard of living and the best infrastructure in Africa. Both of them are also flush with fossil fuels, meaning that they are likely to soon do even better. If African countries were equally wide open to the immigration of the descendants of slaves, it is likely that black Americans, who always go to the countries that have the best infrastructure, would swamp these two little countries. Now, lets imagine a situation where Botswana and Namibia were exporting a lot of oil and gas; you could easily have 2 million people from the US, Brazil, the Caribbean and other parts of Latin America swamp these countries, overwhelm the local populations, and establish their own rule. The question that arises is why Namibia and Botswana should pay for the sins of Ghana or Gambia. There were zero slaves taken from Namibia or Botswana. The slaves who came from Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi etc, were all taken to the Middle East....We wish black Americans well, and we should welcome them if they choose to live in our countries, but the people who owe them are in West Africa

If Ghana has a path to citizenship for African Americans who have no direct relatives in Ghana it's not encoded in any kind of law or policy. I was there last year for 8 months. The year of return was not a part of any actual law or policy. The paths to citizenship are generic, like other countries.

I’m of Tswana ancestry so I’m thinking about Botswana or Swaziland. I heard Rwanda is nice but don’t know about their citizenship.
@AwakenWithMarkInAFRICA2 күн бұрын
We lived in Rwanda for about a year. Last we checked (Rwanda homepage) you must live in Rwanda for 10 years to be eligible for citizenship. The Tourism visa is for 6 months at a time. It's very clean and well-organized in Rwanda too. You can learn more about moving there in this video we did ---> kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4XQpoh4m61pbdksi=X4phSThH_vyw9lq8 Botswana and Swaziland look beautiful, we'd love to visit those countries, too.

How does one go about trying to get any of those citizenships? I’m interested in Zimbabwe or South Africa. Can anyone advise?

Google the Zimbabwe and South Africa country websites to get direction and specifics on their citizenship procedures. Cost, legalities, etc. All the best 🙏🏾

So sorry you haven’t gotten a response. For South Africa, you might look into Ashley In Afrika and also The Real South Africa. Both are on KZbin and offer consulting on the country. All the best.

@@AwakenWithMarkInAFRICA my paternal dna is Guinea Bissau. I also have contact information directly with the diaspora representative in GB who helped build the pathway to citizenship for us. I’m planning to get mine but am in the process of getting my Ghanaian citizenship so I may miss the November window

Additionally, I just returned from Burkina Faso. I was a part of the 150 US delegation with Dr Arikana. We had 6 people in our team who’s dna was BF. President Ibrahim gave them automatic citizenship. I’ll be working there because of projects they have asked me to do. They should be watched. He’s planning to open citizenship to all diaspora. Heading back there next month

WHY is this thing about inviting "African Americans"???? Why not AFRICANS in the DIASPORA? ...that's what we all should be working with! As a son of former enslaved Africans in the Diaspora who has been born in Jamaica🇯🇲, I detest this 'African American' stuff by these African States. Wasn't it the JAMAICA🇯🇲 government, and musicians and poets, etc etc helped the African continent all through their liberation struggles up to their independence during those earlier years up to TODAY!!!😳😳😳😳 WHERE were these African Americans?😳during those times? I would rather the term: AFRICANS in the DIASPORA. Simple!

( With respect.) If the wording seems to be aimed at the USA specifically, it could be because Afro-Americans in the USA have expressed that we are in real danger right now and need to get out of the country. The directives may actually include all Africans in the Americas and the Caribbean. This family is from the USA so they are addressing ‘Black Americans’. Not all ‘Blacks’ in the USA have money, and not all ‘Blacks’ in the rest of the diaspora are poor…
@Allhoney332 күн бұрын
I agree with you but I learned about this years ago and my understanding is it’s all African descended people in the diaspora. I’m African American and I think Americans seem to only think America is the only country in the world sometimes. It’s American narcissism that needs to go in my opinion.

My advice to all diasporan families avoid wasting your time and money in Afrikan states that are not opening up to us to return home as of right. Genocide was committed against us by the forefathers of these rulers today who wants to deliberately deny us of our return home as of right. I am living here in Namibia for 20 years now and i can tell you its not easy to become a citizen, so avoid here for the time being until thè government is able to sort out its self
