My cat Blue 💙 loves her wand toy. I cut off the feathers when i bought it. I have to put it in a drawer when she's done playing because otherwise, she'll drag it around the house or hide it under the couch. 😂 She's a lil stinker and i have to keep a close eye on her.

My cats favorite toys were the lid off a 2-liter soda bottle, and a Ricola (You have to sing it like the commercial.) Cough Losenge.

Yeah one of my cats loves cough drops. He’ll steal them out of a bag and chase them around the house.

The floppy fish, cat nip mice. I don't care much for small pieces or feathers. They eat the feathers. Jingle balls are OK too.

I can't leave boxes out for my cats to play in because the one who seems most interested in playing in a box only gets inside one long enough to tear it into tiny pieces. Boxes and vinyl blinds are his favorite things to chew on so I never have either of these in a room that he will be in. He is such a unique little boy.

Twink didn't usually warm up to the usual toys like the popular mice, rubber fish, and balls. She loved playing chase with a yardstick under some newspapers that I moved back and forth. She also played soccer with me with using big marbles. Her aim was 2 fold, to get it to me so I would shoot it back to her, or to get it past me under the stove/goal, so she could watch me fight to get it out. Was she a slightly different cat? Umm, I got to the point where I figured she was sort of unique. My friends who had cats all played with "cat" toys - not my Twink.😊

@@jedriscoll5678 Twink's favorite toys and games relied on your interaction. My cat does that to a degree, but it sounds like is Twink even demanding of your presence. It's sweet 💕💕💕💕💕 plus I'm going to try the yardstick game with my cat I think you would like it.

@sngelcat Thank you for your comment. You know, after 18 years with her, I never thought of that game that way; that she liked it so much because it was direct play with me. It happened by accident, and she had so much fun I just kept doing it. As both she and I aged, we got down on the floor less and stayed down for shorter times. It was harder to get up, and we both tired faster. But it was fun! Have a Merry Christmas!

@@jedriscoll5678 wow I can't believe you said that about the both of you aging and not being able to get down on the floor to play. That's currently the issue with me and my boy Hector. Only it's me who has trouble. My boy Hector, 10, has slowed down a bit. 0ur evening "thing was to meet on the yoga mat for a lengthy brushing session. Thank you for sharing. I appreciate your comment. Blessings and Merry Christmas to you and yours as well 💖 💖 💖

This morning I woke up to see my cat playing with something new (you can always tell that its new by the way they play with it, right?) It turned out to be a small, plastic bobble head penquin (!), about 3-4 inches high that I've had for ages, a momento that isn't prominently displayed. Of course I took it away (after nicely telling him why). I'm not even sure where it was when he found it but now that I know, I'll keep where he can't get to it. This is not the first time I found him playing with something that was potentially dangerous and I try to be diligent about keeping anything harmful out of reach. We can count on our fur babies to keep us on our feet 😽💕😜🐾

Toys with small bells either on the outside or inside of the toy should be avoided. If a cat swallows one of those bells, it can cause fatal intestinal blockage. I'd also recommend any toys that can be chewed up into small plastic shards/pieces (like plastic balls), as these too can cause fatal intestinal blockages. Also, a cat should not be given any large feathers with a stiff spin, as these two can cause major internal damage/intestinal blockage if ingested. Peacock feathers in particular (like sold at Mud Bay) can be particularly dangerous. Remember, there are no cat toy safety regulations in the United States, so it's imperative that you take the safety of the toys that you give your cats into your own hands.

No crinkle toys here. She never cared for them. A bell in a ball is ok and so is a ping pong ball with a weight in it. I think that's about all the noise she wants.

Mine do ok with feathers and things like rabbits’ feet, but I am sure to put them away when I’m not using them to play with the cats. They will try to rip it apart.
