I love the fact that the person in the middle chair just gets absolutely nothing to do. I love the utter randomness and insane structure of this sketch so much. And, of course, I love Jason's dancing.

It's actually not hard. When you've been jamming with each other for decades. And it's even easier when you all know what you're playing. If you've ever been in a band long enough you can just feel the music off each other. Whether it's a gift or not, as a drummer I can play with any random guitarist, jam out and keep the timing in sync. Most musicians should know what im talking about. That perfect time synchronization of improvised groove. Hell, I'd even add music is the closest thing we can get to actual real magic.

Jason Sudeikis’s role (VANCE, the dancing GUY) is by far the best improv character he performs on SNL and he did it all without saying one word. This simply speaks to the overall degree of mastery in which he’s honed the craft of improvisation.

"This simply speaks to the overall degree of mastery in which he’s honed the craft of improvisation." This is the most pretentious sentence I have ever seen on youtube. Why do all of you people think you're art critics all of a sudden? When did this happen? I'm so sick of it. No one can just say that they like something anymore. They have to use faux-intellectual, pretentious, condescending language in a pathetic attempt to convey that they're smart or that they recognize talent when they see it. You are not special. You are an idiotic parrot, repeating what you have seen everyone else say for years. You are pathetic.

Ok but as a musician do y’all know how hard this shit would be? There was like 6 abrupt time changes that all happened depending on when someone gave their cue (prob the end of a line or something). This is bananas and could go so bad! But it’s brilliant! Idk if anyone else noticed, but Kenan coming in at 5:01 and very confidently declaring a time when it was kinda headed downhill, really saved the fucking ship! that man is truly talented.
