I stopped smoking 🚬 2 years ago. Cold turkey 🦃 My body had a very severe decline in energy and my metabolism took a major dive. However, that lasted for about 6 months and my body put on over 20 pounds without changing anything! I found out what was wrong after consulting with a couple of doctors. I educated myself about insulin resistance and intermittent fasting. I've lost 23 pounds and my energy levels have skyrocketed. No more smoking, EVER! My meals include only organic whole foods and absolutely NO grains or seed oils. Grass fed dairy snd beef occasionally and pasture run eggs and poultry. All of this because I decided to walk the talk and puty health as my number One priority. Thank you for this info on vaping. It's like people who take ozempic instead of fixing what they eat. Vaping is not a solution to stopping smoking, stopping IS. ❤ PS I am 74 years old.

I smoked for more than 40 years and the ONLY thing that allowed me to stop was vaping. From the very first day I used an unflavored vape to get my nicotine fix I stopped smoking tobacco. I was amazed that the constant urge to light a cigarette had completely disappeared. In a matter of a few weeks there was tremendous improvement in my breathing and my ability to walk without getting out of breath. I was still getting nicotine but no longer getting all the tar and CO that comes with burning tobacco. I would never endorse vaping for anything except as a step toward getting off of tobacco. There is no comparison between the damage done by burning tobacco and the damage cause by vaping. It truly is "the lesser of two evils".

I quit smoking after 34 years as a moderate to heavy smoker. I used a vape as my vehicle of choice and I simply cut down monthly 1mg of nicotine at a time. I started at 10 mg and within about 10 months was at 0 mg. Another 2 or 3 months and I was off the vaping too. I'm convinced that short term vaping saved my life, and I've now become fairly athletic and full of energy. Update 2 years later: This December will mark the 6 year anniversary from quitting. I’m 40 years old and had been smoking cigarettes since I was 18, I’ve tried a lot of different ways to stop smoking cigarettes, nothing worked, well about little over 2 years ago I went into a vape shop and got a mod after hearing ppl have found success in quitting cigarettes and switching to Vaping, I really didn’t think it would wk, I was very skeptical and I was thinking I’m about to just waste 150 bucks. well I’m here to say it did indeed work that day I got my mod little over 2 years ago I haven’t had a cigarette since. I started off using 6mg of nicotine in my juice then after about 1 year I took it to 3mg of nicotine in my juice, and then just this year I have switched to zero nicotine in my juice, and I’m to that point I don’t need to vape anymore. Being around cigarettes does not bother me either anymore or have any craving to even want to smoke again, I can tell you I can’t stand the smell anymore of a cigarette and I can’t believe I would smell like that after a cigarette it’s quite disgusting. Just wanted to tell my story, and say vaping got me off cigarettes. I feel so so much better and feel so much more healthier. And I’m saving a shit ton of money not smoking…

@Joey pooschke well Joey you have nearly 100 likes but I would like to be the first to congratulate you in person Well done never go back. I first started smoking when I was 16 nearly 64 years ago. I don't think in those days that tobacco had the same addictive chemicals added to it as modern tobacco may have. I progressed from cigarettes to the occasional King Edward cigar, but my favourite was Balkan Sobrani Smoking Mixture in a Peterson's pipe, I also used the small half sphere plaster pellets in the base of the bowl to help absorb both moisture and nicotine from the tobacco. Although I never smoked more than half an ozs to one ozs a week I often gave up for 3 to 6 months at a time. I eventually gave up completely when I got to the age of 35 when I became more aware of the long term health risks. I must confess that even 15 years later after giving up completely I still had the odd craving for a pipe full of Sobrani it had the most pungent of smells but a divine taste and after half a pipe full you felt like you were on cloud nine. I find cigarette smell the most repulsive and cannot stand it at any price. Good luck with your intention to give up and Stay Safe.

that's amazing. By the way, I don't know, why the hell nicotine affects the organism differently. In my case, I started smoking in 2020. And 2+ years later, I quitted. I literally can't explain how did I do that so easily. Maybe I'll try to describe in details. Prologue : smoking helped me lose weight, I lost 27-30 pounds, bcuz cigarettes made me eat less. I said to myself - what am I doing. I'm literally a man at the top of my physical conditions - I'm young, strong, smart and handsome, and I ruin my health with cigs. I said it to myself, and quitted. It was not an easy task, I reduced smoking in sober mode ( smoked only while drinking beer ). That's it. After a journey to my motherland ( Dagestan, Caucasus ), I literally feel like I don't want to smoke anymore. As I said previously, cigs made me eat less, and now I eat more) I feel like that's the healthy stuff. better eat more , but healthy food, instead of less and some fast-food/snack stuff.

To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. In that 12 years I have never experienced any of those side effects you mentioned but within 6 months of switching from cigarettes to vaping I was able to start working out doing cardio .... that lead to me doing several long distance hikes (more than 300 miles each). Last year, I got diagnosed with cancer ... not from smoking but from HPV. Because I am so physically fit, I was given an 85% recovery rate over 12 months .... its now been 19 months. I still work out doing both cardio and weight lifting and to be honest, vaping gave me my life back. Drs said I was one of the healthiest 50 year olds they have ever seen .... no high blood pressure, no cholesterol, etc ... just had cancer and I kicked its a%^ too. I think one of the biggest things about vaping safely is buying from reputable brands and reputable dealers. I'm not into that thc and all the other crap ... oh yea, did I mention I actually vape 0mg nicotine ... why? Well, the motion of smoking is actually harder to quit than the nicotine.

But i use the original E cig (That looks like a cigarette 🚬) The liquid goes in the cartomizer (filter end ) and has a gauze type cotton wool inside which means less liquid going into the lungs so less harsh . @@chrismiksworld Just saying, vitamin E acetate was also found in THC cartridges that were being legally sold in dispensaries. So it wasn't just black market stuff sold by drug dealers. While Vitamin E acetate was really a problem only THC cartridges had, that doesn't mean normal/nicotine vaping is safe. Do you know what bronchiolitis obliterans is? It is a disease that can be caused by inhaling the chemical diacetyl, it's more commonly known as popcorn lung. You can find this diacetyl in some vape juices, even ones that say they do not contain any. pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/acs.est.7b02205 www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6887563/#b68-191e1321 But back to the misleading claim, I don't think it's correct to say he gave any misinformation intentionally. @@shade247 There is nicotine in vapes but way less than cigs. Most vape liquid today has 3 or 6 mg whereas cigs have ~15 up to 24 mg. It also was not well controlled so you could get a pack with 15 one day and the next pack a few days later could be 18. I don't know for sure but I think it was done intentionally by companies to make it harder to quit. Of course, you can get vape liquid with more nicotine and I actually purchased my liquid from a company that would give me custom amount of nicotine. Started at 15 because that's what I needed to stay off cigs and dropped it down slowly to 3. Best way to quit is to slowly reduce the nicotine.

I mix my own liquid from propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin very lightly flavoured with diacetyl free food grade flavours and some nicotine I got before it was illegal (I'm in Australia). I had chemo and was on immunotherapy for about 5 years (stopped in April this year) and my scans have been clear since after I started immunotheray. I can walk 9km with no problems, my oxygen sats sit between 100 - 97% and I don't cough. I probably should quit vaping and probably will if my device stops working or I run out of ingredients as I can no longer legally buy them, but I enjoy vaping and can honestly say I don't notice any I'll effects from doing it. Been vaping for 7 years , prior to that I was a life long smoker who was up to almost.3 packs a day, my lungs and health were in very bad condition , I switched to vaping and in a short period of time I stopped coughing in the morning , I use to cough for about 35 minutes when I woke up, it was so bad at times I would be close to blacking out, I had no lung capacity before long I was able to walk up stairs and not have probs, after a few years I have full lung capacity back , I can breath, I sleep better , my snoring is almost non existent, food tastes amazing, I can smell a cigarette a mike away, all of these are the same as quitting smoking, the nicotine in a ecig is not as addictive as one through a cigarette and it’s basically like caffeine in a way, I can not vape for hours if I chose to and not physically need it, to as where in a cigarette I could only maybe make it a hour or two and I physically needed one, there is no combustion from vaping, this is where smoking has its huge prob, you are lighting something on fire and inhaling it, it’s like running into a burning house and taking a deep inhale of the smoke, what has happened in the last few years that has gone under the umbrella of vaping is these pods and carts for small vaping devices, now a lot of these are carts that are premade, a lot of young adults band teens were getting black market carts which a dealer would cut the thc with vitamin e acitate which causes all these probs, regular vaping , no thc or vitamin e acitate , just pg/vg, flavoring and nic or no nic eliquid there is no probs, even England has done a study on it deeming it 95% safer than smoking, hospitals have vape shops, but in this country big tobacco rules the media and the FDA all in the name of safety for our children, well let’s think about it and I do not condone vaping for anyone who is not addicted to smoking and espically anyone under the age limit, just don’t do it, what I found funny is that if there was no vaping kids would still all be smoking in high school and nothing would be said against that, no new laws banning smoking which we know what it does, but that’s ok, my thing is if you want to ban vaping then why are cigarettes still available anywhere 2 mins from your house? When listening to media and stuff just follow the money and it becomes clear, vaping saved my life , just a opinion from a former heavy smoker

I decided to quit smoking and made my plan. I was going to vape, ween off nicotine and then eventually not do either. Not the convenience store puff bars. A nice mod system. Now, before I quit cigarettes, climbing stairs was hard. I coughed ALL the time. I had a lot of fluid in my lungs. Then I transitioned over to the vape. After about 2 weeks, I was already breathing better. Coughing was 80% gone. I continued to vape as I reduced the level of nicotine over my plan's time frame. Once I got to 0 MG, I continued to vape but I started not taking it with me to stores or for short trips. Then, my family just noticed one day they hadn't seen my vape. I hadn't used it for 3 days. Now, I know there are a ton of people who debate this issue. Here is my take. For me, the vape was like training wheels and a way to break a pattern and habit in my behavior. I didn't just lose my mind and walk around grumpy. If I hadn't used the vape, I would still be smoking. The "have a plan" thing is spot on. Nothing foreign in the lungs is the best all around but if you can utilize a method to stop smoking, in the end, it turns out for the best. With mods you have to change coils and charge batteries. The fluid is cheaper and some is sweet enough it cut the candy cravings you can get when you quit smoking. Every time I tried before, I relapsed eventually. I would gain 40 to 60 lbs. With the vape, I was able to avoid that. Now, I don't do either. The point was to get better, not switch one habit for the next. Didn't want to be a slave to the substances anymore. I am a person who doesn't do well with "cold turkey". Call it what you want, mental weakness, whatever, but my plan worked and I AM SO MUCH better now. No more inhalers, no more coughing. I kept a pack of cigarettes in the house while I transitioned and I kept my vape charged and on a shelf for awhile after I was "done". It wasn't a just in case scenario for me. It was me taking control of me. If I wanted something, I didn't want someone else to tell me what to do or to feel trapped without the OPTION. They were there, and after awhile, I wasn't afraid to let go. I keep that pack and the vape to this day. Now it is a reminder that I accomplished something. They are always right there, but now I use it as a reminder that I wanted the change, set out with a plan, and accomplished it. For the record, cigarettes are terrible for people. They stink. Vapes smell better, but they are still not good for you. Your lungs need good, clean healthy air. So, if you have tried quitting but can't, this was my method. In the beginning all the different juices and flavors really kind of perked things up. Felt like I was doing something new, but something fun and exciting. I used my vape as I weened off for 6 months. 12 years later...fresh air, stronger lungs.

VAPING is in my opinion and most tobacco shops that sell this is the sale of “Eliquids Or vape juice containing nicotine A highly addictive substance” no shop in my state will sell CARTS (Bc they have weed and there is no such thing as THC juice) carts are unique in the sense that they Are PURELY DISTILLED THC OIL meaning it’s basically just weed that is safely regulated at a certain temperature but is A very SEPERATE thing from vaping, Vaping is defined by NICOTINE and not WEED/THC. The approach was correct but the misguided notion that this directly correlates to VAPING is wrong nowhere that you go to buy A VAPE or VAPE PEN or DISPOSABLE VAPE or PUFF BAR will say “MAY CONTAIN NICOTINE A HIGHLY ADDICTIVE SUBSTANCE” NONE OF THEM WILL say “contains THC” bc well you can’t just sell THC like that. There was a small issue with shitty CARTS getting around I haven’t heard anything recently but this issue happened 2 years ago now I wanna say most people called it or said they were VAPING to avoid getting a charge NONE OF THIS IS FACTUAL IM GOING BASED OF MY OWN KNOWLEDGE IF YOU KNOW SOMETHING I DONT PLEASE DO FEEL FREE TO ENLIGHTEN ME THIS IS PURELY FROM MY PERSPECTIVE AND FROM MY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE OF WHAT MY DUMBASS FRIENDS HAVE DONE thank you for reading my TED TALK xD

I remember the final investigation results the CDC came out with after that “outbreak”. Most of the THC vaping issues was suspected to have come from non very reputable sources. A lot of these cases were in states where THC use is still illegal. It’s why it’s soooo important to get your stuff from a reputable source. And why although regulation and standards are important here, flat out making it illegal is a bad idea.

I agree. I live in a non-medical/recreational state. I'm also 39 and have been smoking cigarettes for 31 years now. Yes. I started smoking cigarettes at roughly 8 years old. Not good. But, it happened. I have had my L lung collapse twice now. I was diagnosed ay the end of 2018 with emphysema. And shortly after in 2019 with COPD. The inhalers the doctor gave me for use when needed. Did nothing unless I over used them. Like the recommended dose to be 2 puffs as needed. It turned out that 6 plus was the only time it ever worked. My doctor told me to use 6 then. Ummm, what??? That much steroids to the lungs cannot be necessarily a good thing for a nonlicensed person to do for themselves. The reason for this conclusion is at 6 puffs of an inhaler there is so much additional propellants added to the steroids that it would make me light headed, dizzy, and sometimes cause my vision to go black. Therefore it cannot be good for someone who is not in a controlled environment to administer this dosage to themselves. Although this was a conversation I had with my doctor. His response was... Dr: " Have you found anything that helps with these episodes?" Me: Yes. Actually I have. Dr: Okay. What works for you? Me: Vapeing DAB. Dr: What is DAB? Me: It's an extractive honey from Marijuana. Dr: Okay? How is it done, and how does it help? Me: I use a water pipe. I heat up a quartz piece to temp then drop the oil onto the quartz piece and hit it causing the vapor to go through the water filtration and into my lungs. It helps because I have all of this mucus that builds up in my lungs. By Dabbing, It causes me to cough. Which causes me to cough up this mucus. And trust me Doc. When I hit it, I make it count. I cough so much mucus up that when I catch my breath after. I can take deep, deep breaths. Dr: How often do you need to do this? Me: Honestly. Only once or twice a day. Dr: Really? Well I can't tell you to continue doing it. But, if it works for you. I'm not going to tell you to stop. Me: I didn't plan on stopping. Just being honest with you. After that the doctor told me that he was surprised by my lung functionality test. Which was 89%. He said even normal non smoking lungs are anywhere between 92- 96%. So my lung functionality is actually really high considering. ( Lol. Pun not intended, but funny.) My opinion through my own research leads me to believe that dabbing isn't going to hurt worse than the cigarettes I smoke. And yes I do still smoke cigarettes. I was on medication to help me quit. Then the rona happened. I'm high risk due to lung conditions and the medications to help you quit smoking lowers your immune system and with a pandemic going on. It'll take cigarettes longer to kill me than the stats with the rona. So I made a choice. Plus with research on MMJ. It has been found to slow and even combat cancer cells. So I'm going to keep doing it for my health.

I smoked from 16 to 50, vaped from 50 to 58. My GI tract started doing weird things. At first, I didn't associate the nausea with vaping. I thought I had some serious problem that was going to kill me. Had all the tests. They couldn't find anything. One doc says I need to have my gall bladder out. Another says I had diverticulitis. Colonoscopy and other imaging proved them wrong. Finally, I read that the polypropylene glycol can cause nausea and other GI related problems. It can also cause kidney failure. I quit the very next day (which was yesterday). It's hard, but the nausea is harder. I immediately started feeling better

It's VERY IMPORTANT to understand that "vaping" is a very broad term. It's also important to have, at least, the slightest bit of understanding before forming an opinion. E-cigarettes use a water-soluble liquid that can contain nicotine. THC concentrate vapes use an oil based liquid. There are dry herb vaporizers that can control heat applied to activate certain ingredients without combusting the plant matter. You can even get drunk inhaling the fumes off a heated alcoholic beverages. E-cigarette/nicotine liquid is highly regulated and highly studied, though of course the long term (25+ years) effects are still unknown. We do understand that it is significantly less harmful than smoking cigarettes, but obviously worse than not inhaling any substance. With legalization, THC concentrate vapes, as well as cannabis in general, will recieve more study into it's health effects, and get more quality regulation. For VITAMIN E ACETATE- it has never, and will never exist in e-cigarette/nicotine liquids. It can't. It is oil-soluble, not water soluble. They simply do not mix. It's generally thought that a dry herb vaporizer for cannabis is less harmful than smoking, but it's unkown if vaping a THC oil concentrate is less harmful than smoking.

This video is very misleading. The guy supposes in his video that "most" vaping liquids contains Vitamin E Acetate and THC. He didn't even consider that most vaping liquids contain only 4 ingredients: propelyn glycol, vegetable glycerine, flavoring and nicotine. None of which have studies indicating they cause any diseases of the lungs. Propelene Glycol by the way is the same ingredient found in asthma nebulizers and most food grade products use PG. Vegetable glycerin is widely used in the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. For instance, it is often added to foods to help oil and water-based ingredients mix, sweetening or moistening the final product. This guy must be part of the Tobacco Industry propaganda to hate on vaping. Either that a supporter of the pharmaceutical industry which is getting a hit because nicotine patches and candies are less popular because of vaping.
@informrecord33423 жыл бұрын
@@ConceptWiseAsiaCWATV I definitely feel the video could have been more clear to divide e-cigarette liquid from thc oil. It should be noted, though, that flavored e-cigarette liquid contains significantly more that 4 ingredients, as "flavoring" could consist of hundreds of different chemicals. Also propylene glycol is not used in asthma treatments. BUT, it has been tested as safe for inhalation by the EPA, due to widespread use in air fresheners, cleaning products, fog machines, etc. It's important for those of us who are pro-vaping to not exaggerate or propagate myths, the hard science is strong enough.

By the way, that little chemical list that they made for what's in e-cig liquid... multiply that x 100 for a cigarette. I vaped for nearly 14 years after being a 2 pack a day smoker. On top of that I inhaled cigars regularly and smoked other stuff. Switching to e-cigs made my life much much better. However, I have since quit and now enjoy inhaling air. Moral of the story, don't smoke, don't vape but if you MUST it's better to vape.

Ex heavy smoker here: 15 years of 2-3 packs per day. Switching to vaping 5 years ago was strange at first, but rewarding. I started doing sports, swim, play the flute. It was also way cheaper than normal cigs, cleaner. All seemed fine. About a year ago I reduced the nicotine to a trickle, then nothing. 2 weeks of really heavy placebo vaping later (and a LOT of coughing), I stopped completely. So here's my few cents about vaping: 1. About as easy to quit vaping than as it was to switch from cigs to vaping in the first place. So if you can transition, you're half way there... 2. Unbelievable health benefits after switching to vaping. However in the last year I did get almost constant coughs, which prompted me to start quitting it. 3. The lower the nicotine, the less numb the body is, the more you start coughing. I used the mildest aromas, the best atomizers, still coughed after almost each vape. 4. If you start vaping without ever having smoked, you're a moron. 5. If you put stupid stuff into your vaping liquid, you're a moron. 6. After you quit, all other vapers will look like morons to you. At least they don't stink of tobacco cinders. 7. I don't miss vaping. But I miss cigs, as bad as they were. But not this new fluff, the good old ones, the cheap stuff they used to kill us with 20 years ago. Remember that wide Dunhill red pack? The sound the lighter made, that scratch on your fingertip? That first smoke in the cold morning. I would've died for that... Almost did. So, in my case, vaping help me do the impossible: quit smoking. "Help" is a weak word for that it did. Do I recommend it to other smokers? Duh, of course, it's cheaper, cleaner, tastier, but aim for complete stop later down the road. It's gonna be way easier than you think, once you get all those old reflexes out of the way.

This is an unproven supposition. Quite the opposite actually. No problems with vaping have cropped up despite two to three decades of mass use now. While it is proven that switching from smoking to vaping is readily adopted by all smokers and immediately causes the same healing as quitting. The difference is, quitting is usually a failure while tapering off with vaping has a 100% success rate. This is most important in populations with serious pulmonary disease. It is often difficult to say, get lung cancer patients to quit smoking as they take on the attitude that they will die anyway. Yet you get the same effect of quitting using vaping instead and usually, the patient, once they try it, prefers it to cigarettes. One thing to know about twinkletoes here. Although I don't know his motivations personally, I do know that most of the anti-vaping rhetoric is paid for, promoted and provided for by cigarette companies.

Many people have made the point that if Nicotine was THE compound that's hooking people, then pure Nicotine would be enough, so gum, patches, pouches, vapes, yet most smokers who try vaping end up going back to Tobacco and say they're just not the same and while Nicotine does scratch a certain itch, the effect is small compared to what else is in Tobacco. Strength has nothing to do with addiction. No ones WANTS to vape or smoke, they just want to feel clarity or just enjoy themselves. When I have a really good day and I havent had to deal with peoples bs and lifes weight, yeah I can lean on that psychology, its true. You can say "I feel good, why change that?" Call it an excuse or weak minded mentality, but thats just life. Addiction exists yes, but not everyone can make that choice. Its not a question of why do it, its a question of what else can you do.

After all the test came back clear, he gave him a drug test. He had been smoking thc vapes. The Dr said the only way to know for sure was for him to quit and see if symptoms improve. He quit. THC and E vitamin are not used on conventional vaping, the only products that contain those substances use them as vehicle for CBD (canabis essential oil ) or "weed" extraction, because they are fat soluble, not like conventional vaping liquids that are water soluble, even the divices are completely different and incompatible; and it's true, CBD liquids contain waxes that harm severously the longs even in a short period of time, but again, only CBD products, not conventional vaping products Which contain flavor, propilenglicol and glycerin + nicotine (optional)

My head felt like it was going to explode; worse than a thunderclap headache. This lasted 5 hours. I thought I was having an aneurysm. This happened twice in 2 weeks. That's how bad the withdrawals are for vaping due to all the garbage in vape juice. When I felt the 3rd insane headache coming on, I took a vape puff and the pain went away. I think it's from my blood vessels opening up (good thing) and the rush of blood was killing me. I'm slowly tapering off of it to get away from it for good and feel I'm almost there. As someone who stopped smoking when I was 25 and started vaping 11 years ago, this guy seemed very unbiased and I appreciate that a lot. Don't worry about my feelings! Just give me the truths! Just because I do it, doesn't mean I don't want to know what it's doing to my body. That said, although I think he was just playing it safe when he spoke about it, regulated vape juice vs putting actual carbon in your lungs isn't even close when comparing them being used as intended. Both are bad... But it's like comparing a 1st degree burn to a 3rd degree burn (generally speaking). Of course, if you aren't vaping responsibly... Then the negative effects of vaping can quickly be more dangerous than smoking and an immediate danger. Change your coils often and only buy vaping products from regulated and trusted vendors. I'll say this before any arguments come my way. I smoked from 10 years old to 25 and within weeks of swapping to vape my smokers cough went away and hasn't returned and I don't get URI's every winter like I used too. I did notice however, that if I was being lazy and not replacing burnt coils I would start getting chest pains. So, like I said, if you're going to vape try to be responsible. I'm certainly not an expert but those are my thoughts based on my experiences. Cheers! Question: Those in similar situations (replaced smoking with vaping) that have quit vaping afterwards successfully, how did you do it? I want to try quitting vaping (not my first attempt) and would like to hear some real world advice! Thanks!
@fahadjoudeh66033 жыл бұрын
I successfully switched to vaping, but it was a gradual process. I used the pen vapes, also known as ''cigalikes'' to some people as they can give me that chest hit that I crave. At first I couldn't quit smoking entirely, I did both, but I did decrease the number of cigarettes that I smoke daily. I gave myself a daily limit and kept gradually decreasing it until I was down to one cig a day (the morning cig), which I also eventually phased out. Fast forward a year later, and smoking genuinely disgusts me. I don't even smoke when I drink anymore. Also repelled by the smell. My advice to you would be to use a pen, or ''cigalike'' with a high output wattage, use 50mg/ml salt-nic e-juices with TOBACCO flavors. If you're a regular smoker chances are you won't like all that sweet garbage.

@Manbrosky I smoked cigarettes for a year, due to anxiety crisis. On January 2021, I bought my pod (pm40). I started vapping and abruptly stopped smoking, it was weird at first day and did smoke like 10 cigarettes throughout the day and vapped when not smoking the cigarettes. On the second day, I smoked 5 cigarettes. On the third day I just vapped. On fourth day I tried a cigarette again and my throat just closed, it was like breathing smoke from fire. I don't smoke cigarettes now, I find them disgusting and started to hate the taste of it. Now, after 11 months of vapping, I vape when I'm idle, drinking and when the anxiety kicks in. I don't feel that need to be vapping everytime anymore. Also, try vapping for 10 minutes, the time you usually takes to finish a cigarette. And smoke hourly or after 2 hours, that way you don't start a new addiction of vapping everytime. You gotta manage the addition left by the cigarettes. For those willing to stop smoking or switch from cigarettes to vapping, vape don't leave smells on you or bad taste on your mouth, so people will not complain when you vape near them because they will smell the juice flavor. Just don't blow the smoke on people's face because it is dry and uncomfortable.

The part where it was mentioned how metallics were found makes a lot of sense, as a person who used to work at a vape shop. atomizers used to be simple as hell where they'd have a piece of cotton wick up the juice into a a metal coil. depending on a device's voltage, coils could burn up the juices, cause the sugars the crust onto the coil, then pop once and a while going straight into your mouth. also the metal coils definitely needed to be changed at least weekly, or depending on the amount use. honestly i feel like vaping overall would be better than cigarettes, but there definitely is a portion of consumers who did not maintain their coils that they'd crank up the voltage on in order to produce larger volumes of vape smoke. also noticed more people are switching to disposable vapes that run at very low voltage, then die before the interal wick completely dries out. great video also. very insightful from a scientific pov.

this is for those vapers who build their own coils.I buy pre made coils which can be dispensed with after vaping.More expensive but more safer in the long run.

@@firzwanz4335 yeah for sure pods are better these days, im just under the assumption the studies carried out on vapes could be outdated, and initial studies might have been based off the those early model vapes.

Let me help clear some things up. I've been vaping for 15 plus years basically way before it was well known. If you go to a vape shop there will be no e acetate in your eLiquid. E acetate was found in one brand of e-cigarette. Surprisingly enough it was found in a brand that first came on the market in Georgia. It was a tobacco company I believe Philip Morris that was trying their version of e-cigarette. Why they added it nobody knows but there's a lot of speculation I won't get into. So what has it done to me in 15 years. So far nothing absolutely nothing. I was an avid smoker for 20 years. In the end of smoking I was up to three packs of camel wides per day. Basically a chain smoker. Problems I had shortness of breath, very low stamina, bronchitis two times a year at least guaranteed, common colds always turn into bronchitis, acid indigestion, some kind of weird intestinal gas that was very painful, smelling like a nasty cigarette and people will let you know. When I quit smoking it wasn't intentional. Walking to the mall there was this little kiosk selling this electronic cigarette very generic with very generic flavors. I bought one because the big selling point is you can smoke inside. So I bought one so I can smoke even more. Within a week I found myself not smoking cigarettes. I wasn't trying to quit I just did. The vapor was more satisfying than smoking. Let's talk about that week. The first couple days I had a little bit of chest tightness it was a 50/50 smoking with vape. Between day 3 and 5 it was less tightness but other symptoms seem to subside a little I was at about 25% smoking 75% vaping. Day five through seven I was having a pretty rough cough. A lot of black spit almost like ammonia but not. At that point I may have been smoked one to two cigarettes so 98% vaping. After day 7 zero smoking 100% vaping. I experienced that coughing up black stuff for a couple days not severe. After that went away things started to change a lot. Just to let you know I'm pretty sure that black stuff was all the tar backed up in my lungs. I've heard similar stories and sometimes it turns people off of vaping thinking it's the vape when in reality it's all that cigarette tar coming out. The reason I know this is do to people that never smoked but started vaping. When asked they never experienced this symptom. However most people that went from smoking to vaping had experienced this symptom. So what changed after the cigarettes were gone. I noticed within a month I wasn't getting short of breath so easy. I could Walk Way farther. I actually found myself going back to a gym. I had my air back. in return had strength back. I honestly found myself doing more like going out going to the malls doing things that I didn't really do because I didn't want to go without smoking so long. At the time I can vape anywhere. Overtime I can't be specific the acid indigestion stopped. Over the years not only did bronchitis go away I don't really cough much when I have a cold. I think it's the vegetable glycerin keeps my throat moisturized. All the symptoms of my past are a thing in the past. So far in 15 years I haven't found any side effects from my vaping. Trust me if I found them I would let people know. Because that's how I am I will try to warn people so they would know what to expect. I've tried thousands of flavors. I own hundreds of devices from Big to small. There has been no found benefits or downfalls to either type of device. Other words a small $10 device using reptible juice is no different than a $550 device. When it comes to health related but obviously taste a little bit. Now let's talk about some of these findings because I might know what it is. He mentioned them finding nickel in other metals in the lung and that could very well be possible. What's used to heat the eLiquid is a coil. These coils are made up of different metals. There's nichrome, kanthal, nickel, titanium, and stainless steel. I personally use stainless steel because I understand the properties of metal. If I want a temperature control device I use titanium but it's hard to find now. The new mesh coils don't seem to burn as high which means less chance of metal particles getting into your lung. However stainless steel has a very high mounting temperature. The heat it would take to release particles is higher than the temperature you can handle inhaling at. So try to get your coils in stainless steel mesh. I will be doing testing on different coils to see if metal particles are releasing to warn people if so. I found that part of this video very interesting and something I never thought about. Here's what's worrying me. Over 15 years tens of thousands of stops at vape stores. Meeting God knows how many thousand people. Listening to their success stories. I probably heard about 20 people that went back to smoking. Which is a unbelievable amount of success stories of getting people off cigarettes. Unfortunately the industry is under attack right now. There's people in Washington DC lobbying for the cigarette companies. They will have five people testifying only one of them is provape. They are stacking the deck. They are pushing to get rid of the safe vaping and put in a more addictive form of vape made by big tobacco. It's not looking good. We used to sit around and talk at the vape bar testing flavors. Now all that's been forced to go away. Some do to covid but a lot do to strict rules and regulations. They are trying to kill vaping. When we now know vaping is 95% safer than smoking cigarettes. That also means it's 95% more likely to be a threat to cigarette smoking and smokeless tobacco. The government makes a lot of money off of cigarette companies and a form of paid protection from lawsuits. So not only is Big tobacco fighting the e-cigarette world so is the government over money. They're starting to tax vaping to make it unaffordable. They're using that some kids vape as an excuse. Is it really? If cigarette smoking is 95% more dangerous than vaping then what would be better for a kid? You know they're going to do what they're going to do it is what it is. I smoked at the age of 15 maybe younger. So using children as an excuse to kill off a product that is the most potent product when it comes to getting people off of cigarettes just doesn't make sense. When you go and purchase your e-juice they ID you every time. In the e-cigarette industry they don't sell to kids. We take that serious because we are trying to keep vaping around. So keep that in mind the people trying to have a safer alternative to cigarettes are now trying to be pushed back to the cigarettes they ran from. So let people know what Washington is doing. We know one thing for sure nobody has died from cancer do to vaping. However cigarette smoking kills hundreds of thousands of people a year. It's obvious what the safer choice is. Just say no to the war on vaping. Let's save as many lives as we can. Start letting businesses know that vaping in stores has helped get people off of the cigarettes. Because it's an incentive to switch. If you have a family member that smoke cigarettes. Do the research and get them a vape. It's never too late to switch away from the cancer causing cigarettes. Thank you for listening to my story and leave your own if you have one.

Thank you for sharing your story. I actually work in a Vape store and yeah we do ID every person who comes in, and we also tell them about everything you said. Juul and Vuse (which we don’t even sell) are both owned by big tobacco and this has been their plan from day one. They put Benzoic Acid in the Juul/Vuse pods (a compound that acts as as a binder between the nicotine and the other compounds in the juice, all salt e-liquids have a small amount of it but Juul/Vuse put way more into it because it’s 4 times as addictive as nicotine) to get everyone hooked on their product and establish market dominance, and now they’re fueling the lobbying to ban vaping in any way they can to push people back to cigarettes. It’s always been their plan. And for anyone who’s wondering “Wait, why are they doing that? Can’t they still make money selling pure nicotine to the vaping industry?” it’s because all of the disposable vape and e-liquid companies are moving to non-tobacco sources of nicotine for their juice. (You’d be surprised how many plants make the stuff. Broccoli and Cauliflower do!) Vaping is literally the one thing that could bring an end to cigarettes and big tobacco, and they’re trying to crush it to death with their cancer money. It sucks. But we’ll keep fighting. I’ve already gotten a bunch of people totally off cigarettes and people getting all those years back makes it worth it.

I really want to believe that vaping is less harmful, but I tried vaping multiple times and every time I had burnt and painful lungs the next day, even when I vaped for 10 minutes a day. That never happened to me while I was smoking cigarettes. I tried different coils, different nicotine levels. Last thing I tried was a disposable one and my heart rate instantly sky-rocketted, leaving me with shortness of breath and burnt lungs over the next couple of days.

I smoked cigs for 15 years and vaped for 6. I feel so much better. I've never had any problems after switching except dry hits that burn the back of my throat. I can breathe again, no random coughs, etc.

I recommend making a further switch to smokeless tobacco, preferably Swedish snus as American varieties such as dip can potentially cause mouth cancer. It's discreet and isn't linked to any serious health issues. I used to both smoke and vape but now I can't stand either after switching to snus.
