Funnily enough, the house I currently live in used to be a Victorian "ice shop". They had a huge cellar where it was stored and shaved before being brought upstairs to the pavement level, loaded onto a little wagon and pulled by a pony to fill the pantry's of the rich locals. Flavored shaved ice, gelato etc were also served upstairs, which was a tea room! I'd honestly love to find the original house plans because we have a lot of weird odd spaces/nooks and odd room layouts. It's obviously been changed and changed throughout the years. I just find it really interesting to learn about all the different "lives" a house has had before.
